TW -

Dave walks deep into the woods, following the shallow dirt path to freddys beneath him. The stars looked down on him like a thousand eyes watching his every step further into the darkness.

Peter watched him walk, peeking under the blinds to make sure he didn't try and sneak back into the house. After confirming that Dave wasn't coming back Peter turned from the window and carefully stepped around the broken lamp. He was suddenly taken over by a heavy feeling of dread. Peter wasn't sure where it came from or why but he knew not to ignore feelings like this, not with Dave around. He cleaned up the broken lamp, sweeping up the shards and placing them in the bin before heading upstairs to his room.

He walked down the hallway stepping past Jack's room subconsciously reaching for the handle to open it like he'd done hundreds of times before. Peter couldn't bring himself to open that door, he wasn't scared of something being there or Dave sneaking in through the window, but more terrified of having to stare into a vacant room now full of his own agony and regret. He pulled his hand away from the door and reached his own room, walking inside to go and sleep.

Dave reached the clearing in the woods just before freddys, the landscape was blank, almost as if something was waiting there, just below the surface. Dave brushed off the idea and kept walking. He stared up at the stars still enthralled by them since he was nothing but an orphan walking the streets of new york. His foot snagged on something and he came tumbling down. Dave inspected what he had tripped on to find a small metal loop stuck in the ground, he pulled at it to no avail. Dave brushed the dirt around it to reveal a metal plate connected to what he now realised was a handle. The metal plate was cold and rusted at the edges after what Dave assumed to be years of weathering, protecting whatever was beneath it. Dave pulled at it harder, curiosity biting away at his mind, the door didn't budge as if locked from the inside. Dave gave up with an angered grunt before continuing his walk to freddys. Something told him that door was important and his curiosity only grew.

Finally, Dave reached the big glass doors of Freddys, he walked to the back of the building and came in through the window left ajar. Dave remembered that's what Jack would always do when he first met him, back before he messed things up for the first time. He slipped in and made his way past the prize corner shivering as he walked by. 'Nope, not sleeping there.' He thought to himself. Dave walked to the office to see Harry still slumped over and unconscious, he lightly chuckled still admiring his handiwork.

Dave curled up under the desk and fell asleep, the moon and stars glinting in the sky above them, watching with vacant eyes.
