We've been at the motel for three months... A new guy, Mark, showed up a week ago. Him and I are friends now! Right now though, he's out hunting with Lee.
Glenn left that first night we got here, I dunno why...he still has Dad's walkie talkie and checks in every once in a while.
I sit on the ground and work on my drawing, it's a tiger. I think tigers are cool... Duck colors a drawing beside me and rambles about some weird comic.
Katjaa is sitting, watching Duck and I color. Carley, and Doug are chatting about something, I'm not sure what. Lilly and Kenny are arguing as usual.
Larry is working on the fence, he takes breaks every half hour to yell at us all for not helping. Carley went over to help him once but got yelled at for doing something wrong, Carley came back real quick after that...
Kenny walks away from Lilly with a mad look on his face.
"I'm going out to hunt!" Kenny says, stomping off. Katjaa just sighs.
...
I hear a loud gunshot from far away, and a shout.... That's not good. Lilly's been teaching us signals and different whistles, I pay attention to if she'll whistle now.
...
Everyone is silent.
We hear rustling in the bushes, Lilly whistles one long whistle. Katjaa gets to the ground after she pulls Duck and I down. Katjaa whistles 3 different notes.
Carley whistles two notes. One is for Doug probably since he can't whistle. Doug's been acting strange recently, always crossing his arms over his chest and not talking as much. He only really talks to Carley and Lee and sometimes me...Whenever he does talk, his voice sounds weird.
"It's just us! Open the gate, we've got wounded!" Lee exclaims. Lilly immediately opens the gate for them and the group walks in. Mark is carrying a teen wearing a weird blue uniform. Another teen stands next to him in the same uniform. Katjaa stands up and approaches him, I follow close behind her. Everyone slowly approaches to watch shit go down.
"What the fuck?! Why the hell did you bring more people?" Lilly exclaims.
" Because we shot him and thought it was only fair." Lee explains.
" Get him in the back of the truck, I'll get him bandaged. " Katjaa says. Mark heads over to the truck, carrying the boy. Katjaa follows behind him.
"What the hell's happening?" Larry asks, approaching us all
" These fuckers brought more damn mouths to feed! " Lilly says, upset.
" It's what is right! They're just kids. " Lee says defensively.
