The Man Who Found Me (TWDG SEASON 1 REWRITE

Episode 4

We've been in Savannah for about a day and we haven't seen my parent at all! Lee won't even let me try to talk to them with my walkie talkie. 

Most of us walk along the road, Omid stumbles. I walk next to Lee.

"Can I at least hold it...?" I ask.

"No. Stop asking." Lee says.

" But what if my parents say something? How will I respond? " I ask, upset.

" They don't have the other walkie talkie. "  Lee answers.

...

A bell rings loudly. People say many different things, half of them are curses.

"Run!" Lee shouts. I don't hesitate, I just start running. Everyone else does too. Walkers begin to come from every little nook and cranny.

I run next to Ben but we stop when walkers are Infront of us. They surround us.

No-no no no no.

This is it...

"Ben help her!" Lee shouts. I look up to Ben, he looks down at me.

Then he runs. Chuck runs Infront of me and begins bashing walker skulls. 

"Go!" He demands, and I do... I run quickly. I hear a loud pained shout and turn to see Chuck on the ground, walkers biting on him. I squeal in surprise but continue running. We make it to a gate, Kenny runs into it. It luckily opens and we all head in. The gate slams shut. 

Everyone pants, we are all out of breath. I look around at everyone... Then Omid falls to the ground.

"Shit!" Christa exclaims. 

"Did he get bit?!"Lee asks worriedly.

"No his eyes would be yellow before he'd be fainting... It's his leg! We need to get inside."  Christa says.

" Keep an eye on him and be ready to take care of him. " Kenny demands as he walks to the front door. He tries to open it by jiggling the knob first, then he kicks it. It doesn't open. Lee goes to help Christa take Omid away from the gate. I approach Kenny and watch.

"Hey kid..." He says. "Find a way in?"  I examine the door.

"The doggy door." I answer. " I can climb through there." 

"Good find!"" He says, smiling. He nudges it with his foot, it doesn't budge. "Shit..." He mumbles.

"Is it locked?" I ask.

" I ain't ever hear of a locked dog door. " Kenny says. " Hinges are probably stuck, or something is holding it down. " 

" Actually, those do exist... " Ben says abruptly.

" For real? " Kenny asks, surprised.

"Yeah the dog's collar has a chip that'll unlock it." Ben explains.

" Well do you see a damn dog anywhere? " Kenny asks. He seems annoyed. I look around, I notice a small grave.

"I do..." I answer.

"What- where?" He asks. I point to the grave 

" Awh shit... I don't want to unbury a dead dog... " Kenny says. 

" I'll deal with it. " Lee says, holding a shovel. He just pops up, doesn't he? 

"Damnit Lee! Scared the hell out of me..."  Kenny  says, surprised. Lee walks towards the grave. I don't watch while he digs up the dog, everyone else does though. I stay by the door.
