Weeks go bye and the 2 unlikely roommates (oh my is that the title I see?!) have not spoken to eachother. Juniper will still study The Cure at night but other than that they are all alone. Week after week Hookworm seemed empty. she hated it. She didn't know what was happening. She felt... Alone.

I claw the dirt under me in anger.
This is so unfair! Why cant I get anywhere with this STUPID plant?! Juniper made it look so easy!
I think angrily. I had been working with The Cure for a good few hours. Nothing has been working.
"This is dumb... Im taking a break." I say out loud. I shut my mouth and look over to the bed by the door. I feel relization hit me once again...

I stop mid-thought
WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING?!
I bonk the top of my head with my fist lightly. I feel stupid for thinking such thoughts. I let out a sigh and look down at my desk. I look over at the plants then my bag.
Slowly I walk over to my bag and dig in it carfully. I take out a very small flask and carfully set it down on the table.
Dracancer Cells.
I take a deep breath before putting one of the cells into a small dish. I look over to The Cure and think. What if the glow from The Cure was the answer? I get to work with that thought in mind.
After many hours of working I finally have a bioluminescent cell from The Cure.
Please work...
I drop the glowing cell into the dish with the Dracancer cell and watch. My eyes widen at what I see. The Dracancer cell was... disolving.
"YES!" I jump in exitement!
It worked! Holy shit! It worked! I did it!
I look around.
I need to find Juniper!
The first thing she thinks about is Juniper.
I look around frantically. Its night and just outside the window I see her. Juniper. I rush outside.
"JUNIPER!" I crash into her. We both tumble to the ground.
"AH! HOOKWORM!" She yelps in suprise. "You okay?! What's wrong?! Are you hurt? did somthing happen?!" She blabbers on and on. I take a deep breath and put my talons on my chest. It feels like its acheing. I feel warm again, It feels like my chest tightens up at the sight of Juniper.
"Juniper! I did it! I think I found a cure!" I exclaime. I see her eyes grow wide in shock.
"wait... Really?!" she says, her excitement matching mine. She takes my talons into hers, holding them up in hope. "You found a cure for Dracancer?!" I feel my heart thump in my chest, so hard im sure she could feel it.
"Yes! We must go tell the queen!" I pull my talons out of hers and rush to the ledge, ready to fly at a bajillion miles per hour but Juniper holds onto my wing. I look back at her. She seems.. concerned.
"A-actually.. uh we need to wait.. yeah! The queens guards wont let us in... she needs to rest!" She says. I snort.
"yeah but-"
"No buts Hookworm. We need to wait." She cuts me off. I blink at her.
"Fine.." I grumble. I look at her and she smiles.
"God... im so happy... I could kiss you..." I mumble quietly. She snaps her head back twords me.
"What was that..?" She whispers loud enough for me to hear. I feel the relization of what I had said OUT LOUD hit me like a dozen arrows.
"NOTHING! just... get inside!" I snap at her quickly. I feel my scales grow hotter by the second as she slowly turns back to the cave.
god.... what is happening....
