I wake up warm, and comfortable. I slowly open my eyes, looking at the sunlight, I jump straight up to look at the time. I can't find my phone so I'm throwing things. I finally found it in the pocket of my jeans in the bathroom. I look at the time and it's only 8. I breathe a sigh of relief and walk back to the bed where Graycen is laying there still sound asleep. I realize that I'm not ready to face everything that happened last night so I go back into the bathroom and change into my clothes from last night.
I quietly open the door and start to walk out when Graycen sitting on the edge of the bed says, "Going anywhere?"
I stop and say "Yes Tallen's."
"I need to get my stuff and go home my moms expecting me home by lunch.
He sits quietly then says "When can I see you again?"
"I'm not sure" I say shrugging my shoulders.
"I need some time to think about everything I have a lot to think about."
"Okay just let me know when you want to talk," he says getting up and walking me down the stairs.
At the door I get on my tip toes and give him a peck on the cheek. "Thank you for last night you saved my life." "Always," he says tucking my hair behind my ear.
I call Tallen and tell him I'm heading to his house as I get in my car. Graycen stays at the door and watches me drive away. For some reason I feel off, and I can't decide if it's last night or what it is. Graycen is great, he's so sweet, and kind, but it just seems weird that he's liked me for a while but hasn't said anything. All these thoughts plague my mind as I pull into Tallen's driveway. He's there waiting for me on the porch, and as soon as I get out of the car he ascends upon me like a vulture.
"Sophie what the hell happened last night?"
"Tallen its a lot can I at least get inside and sit down first?"
We walk inside and i sit down and Tallen says "Now will you tell me?"
So I spend the next hour describing the events of last night. "So your positive nothing happened when ya'll slept together the whole night."
"Yes, I'm positive," I laugh out as I get up to leave.
"I'm going home, I'll see you later T." "Ok, see you Monday Sophie."
I leave and head home, my mom isn't home so I jump straight in the shower and sleep for the next day and a half.
My alarm goes off on Monday and I realize I have to think about the life that is crumbling around me slowly. Once again I choose to ignore it, instead i get ready. I straighten my dirty blonde hair and leave it down, then I apply mascara to my eyelashes, put some blush on to add some color to my pale face and I'm done. I grab my bag and head to the kitchen where I grab some cereal and my mom walks in.
"Hello stranger," she says kissing me on the head.
"Sorry I slept all weekend, I just wasn't feeling well."
"I know Tallen told me you were sick so I just left you alone."
"Thanks, what time do you think you'll be home tonight?"
"Late so you probably want to order take out."
I nod my head ok as I finish eating.
"Ok bye honey see you later," she says as she walks out the door.
My dads not in the picture never has been and hopefully never will. The things my mom says about him I don't understand why they were together in the first place. I finish eating, grab my stuff and make the fifteen minute drive to school. My school isn't necessarily bad; it's just the people inside that make me hate it. I enjoy learning but not people. I walk in and instantly regret it like I always do, but Tallen walks up to me making it ten times better.
