Love or Foe [COMPLETED]

Ming

I sat down, by Park's side quietly as I waited for him to wake up. I looked at his sleeping profile as thoughts of our previous times just swished by.

I really didn't want anything happening to him and once I found out who had clobbered him, that person was so dead in my hands. Shortly after, Park stirred.

"You ok?"

"I will be.. how come you are here? No classes?"

"I took a leave of absence."

"Why did you..."

"I'm not leaving your side Park. Not letting that happen."

"Ming.."

I just shushed him by glaring at him. He just chuckled at me and wanted to adjust himself. I helped him up and got him a drink too. Park was still in a lot of pain and I could see that. I got the nurses to give him morphine. Post his medications, Park fell into a deep sleep whilst I just sat by his side, holding his hands throughout. His mom came to visit midway whilst he was sleeping and she saw me holding his hands and just resting my head on his bed.

"Why don't you go on back home to rest sweetie? I can take over from here." His mom uttered to me softly.

"It's ok auntie. I am fine here. I just want to be sure he's fine. He..he always been there for me and the least I can do or should do is this."

"He's a brave boy. He will be fine. You look so tired. Plus I'm sure your boyfriend will look for you."

"Boyfriend?"

"Yea, Park mentioned it when he called me the other day. I honestly thought you guys were dating until Park told me. Silly me right? You guys always looked so perfect together. I scolded my boy for not working hard enough to win your heart."

"Auntie..." my face just blushed.

"You are a good kid Ming. Nobody can handle my boy and you do it so well."

I just smiled and just looked at sleeping Park. I assured her I got it and she nodded. She said she will be back with lunch. I just nodded and sat there. I decided to play some games so I took Park's phone since mine was almost out of battery. Park had given me his password previously so I easily unlocked it and was playing away. Just then messages flitted in on Line from one of his ex school mates.

I was about to reply on Park's behalf but I got surprised by the message and the ones before it. I just didn't reply in the end and kept Park's phone away but when I looked at Park this time, it all made so much of sense. And then it hit me on how much I had hurt him all this while.

My eyes teared but I wiped it away. I kept myself busy by reading some comics, watching a show and having some lunch with Park's mum before Park finally woke up around 5pm.

"Hey. How are you feeling now? Can I get you something?"

"Hmm, no. I just want a beer can?"

"Park! What are you thinking of?! No way!"

Park chuckled gaily. He wanted to get a shower and dinner and I helped him with it. Once he was seated comfortably in bed, I got him dinner and fed him. He insisted he could eat but I waved it away.

"Let me feed you ok?"

"You don't have to do this. I'm fine. If you are gonna keep doing everything for me, I will get used to it. Can't expect you to do it for me forever right?"

"Why not? I am happy to do it forever for you."

"Don't be silly Ming. I do it myself. Its fine."

"If I don't do this for you, then who is going to? Boyfriend?"

"I don't have a boyfriend. I can do it.. I mean someday maybe yea.."

"May be yea what? Have a boyfriend? Yea I guess you will have yours one day or maybe soon?"

Park looked at me extremely confused. I just smiled at him and continued feeding him and mentioned that earlier I used his phone to play games and hope it was ok. Park smiled and agreed it was fine. Then I mentioned that his ex school mate texted on Line but I didn't reply as I felt it wasn't in my place to do so.

Park jsut laughed and said I could have and took his phone to reply. However, I watched as his face changed reading the messages. I just continued keeping away the empty dishes and sat down next to him.

"Ming.. erm.. did you happen to read my messages?"

"I did. I'm sorry."

"No its fine. I'm not angry you read it..I just... are you angry about it?"

"Why didn't you tell me? Why didn't you just tell me from the start?"

Park kept quiet. I kept insisting for an answer.

"Because you told me you like Ayan. I couldn't come confess to you after that. As it is, I kept battling with my feelings for you. I may not even  be the right one for you and I didn't want to lose you at all. I..I'm sorry.. "

"I rather you told me from the start. I only dated Ayan because I liked you and I thought you didn't feel the same way. And I didn't want to lose you. And to me, you are the most important person ever.. why didn't you just tell me?"

Park looked at me stunned. I leaned over to kiss him on his lips softly. "Be with me, Park? I'm so sorry for not telling you my feelings earlier and just hurting you all this while."

Park just nodded, shushing me. He grabbed my hand and pulled me nearer. I sat on his bed, ensuring that I didn't hurt him and hugged him, both of us dropping tears.

As we pulled away, all I heard Park utter was "I love you Ming. So so so much."

I hummed silently in response as I held onto him again, feeling like I finally came back to the arms of the one I belong to.
