Allison was nervous as she walked into her new school. She had moved to a new town with her family and was starting at a new school. She didn't know anyone and was worried about making friends.

As she walked down the hallway, she could feel the eyes of her classmates on her. She felt like a fish out of water. She tried to keep her head down and blend in, but it was hard when she didn't know anyone.

Allison's first class was English. She took a deep breath and walked into the classroom. As she looked around, she saw that all the seats were taken except for one at the back of the room. She made her way to the seat and sat down.

The girl next to her looked up and smiled. "Hi, I'm Emily," she said. Allison smiled back and introduced herself. They started talking and before she knew it, the class had started.

Allison was surprised at how friendly Emily was. She felt like she had made a friend on her first day. As they walked out of class together, Emily asked Allison if she wanted to sit with her at lunch. Allison eagerly agreed.

As the day went on, Allison started to feel more comfortable. She even started to enjoy herself. She had made a new friend and was excited to see what the rest of the year had in store.

Allison realized that starting at a new school wasn't as scary as she thought it would be. It was a new beginning and she was excited to see where it would take her.

Allison's experience shows that starting something new can be intimidating, but it's important to keep an open mind and be willing to take a chance. By putting herself out there and making an effort to connect with others, she was able to make a new friend and feel more comfortable in her new environment. Sometimes all it takes is one person to make a big difference in our lives.
