Avani POV

I walked down the hall felling great; after all I just beat up a pervert, embarrassed my best friends’ brother and scared the hell out of an annoying secretary. What isn’t there to be happy about? Oh yeah, and since it is a Friday there is only a half days worth of classes, so we are done for today. As I approached the door to leave the building I heard whimpering and laughing. Deciding to investigate, I followed the sounds.

There I saw a girl laying on the floor, her check red and swollen, her glasses broken at her feet, her uniform dirtied, and three boys standing over her laughing. You shouldn’t treat girls like glass, but you really shouldn’t treat them like that. What were punching bags ever invented for if guys beat on girls like this.

“Oy, you. Yes you, d*ckwad. I’m talking to you, get away from that girl. If you want to fight, fight me. At least I can kick your ass, since obviously you’re not man enough to bother beating on a guy your own size and strength.” I was pissed, I walked over and stood in front of the girl crossing my arms over my chest and glaring at them.

Their eyes scanned my body, eye raping me as I glared at them. “Sure sweet cheeks, like you could beat all this.” The main guy said gesturing to his tall and muscular figure. I simply looked at him, was unimpressed and returned to glaring.

“I’ve seen better. So you going to fight me or what?” I said smirking at the guys shocked expression. He obviously couldn’t believe that ‘I had seen better’. But come on, he’s got nothing compared to my usual guys. That reminds me, I need to find the bad group of the school.

Don’t get me wrong, gangs are bad, guns are terrible, and drugs are worse. But underground street fights, illegal street racing, riding motorcycles, and hanging with people who love what you want to do and don’t judge you on it makes it worth it. Not many ‘bad kids’ at the schools I’ve been to are actually bad; they just come from bad families, situations, or are like me. It’s not like I try and bother teachers, or piss them off, they see how I look and my attitude and then they turn tail and run.

The dude smirked at me, then went to back hand me. I dodged it, then raced up to chest and kicked straight up. I hit his chin, making it an immediate knockout. I then turned to the other r two. One I kicked in the balls and then kneed his head. The other I spun and kicked in the stomach, knocking the wind out of him before giving him a right hook to the temple, knocking him out as well. I then went to the girl and handed her her glasses and helped her up.

“Hey, I’m Miriam Avani Castor. Nice to meet’cha. I would have talked to you first but they really needed to be dealt with. Let’s get you to the nurse, ok? What’s your name by the way?” I said happily, and then feeling stupid for not knowing her name.

“I’m Emily Rosenthal-Sinclair. Nice to meet you Avani. We should probably go before you get caught.” She gave me a smile and we ran away from the hall, leaving the three of them knocked out in the hallway.

We returned to the office, because apparently to enter the nurse’s office you had to go through there. The guy from earlier was still there, this time however he was sitting in a chair.

“Hello Daniel. Why are you here?” Emily said smirking slightly, glee in her voice as he looked slightly in pain still. Wimp.

He glared at her and then saw me and smirked. I smirked back and glared at him.

“Hey Emily, how do know this dude?” I asked with glee in my voice as well because I had seen a slight flicker of fear in his eyes when I spoke.

“Oh, this is Daniel, my ass of an older brother. He is in the grade above us, a player, and just about the most annoying and worst brother in the world.
