Daneese's POV

"Whatever you felt right now, you deserve it Daneese!"

Shaun yelled at me with called eyes. His eyes were too empty, his words struck straight to my soul.

"You ruined my life, you – " He paused as he saw me smiling, my tears just won't stop falling. I loved him for the time I married him. I did everything to please him, cooked him his meals, clean his room, make sure he sleeps comfortably,

"I'm sorry, I wasn't the woman you desire Shaun, and I know I will never be." I never intended to ruin your life Shaun, I too was and still is a victim. I just thought you knew that. "I paid all that one mistake for two years Shaun! I spent two years of hell living the same roof as you!" This is the only time I voiced out all the sorrow I have inside, all the pain I've gone through - everything. "When you brought Samantha in this house, did you hear anything from me? No, because I know, I'm full aware that I am not the one you love. When I caught you and Samantha fucking on that very same bed I used to sleep. Did you hear anything from me? When I saw you two celebrating your Anniversary the same date as our supposed to be Wedding Anniversary, did I say a word Shaun?" No you didn't Shaun, because I knew all along, that even during our marriage to this date you are in relationship with Samantha. "With all those disrespects you did to me, was that not enough as payment for the mistake of marrying you? You still lived happily with the woman you loved, while I – " I choked on my own words. Shaun was just sitting still like a dam mannequin in front of me. But this time, his eyes has emotions. Is he pitying me? Does he feel sorry upon hearing all the words I've said?

"You what?" The only line he uttered. His eyes were teary, or maybe my eyes was just playing tricks for me.

"it doesn't matter." I said after calming down. How can I say "I love you" Shaun? How can I say that to you? How do you think can I say that to you?

I walked away from that heavy scene. As I walked out of the door, I saw Samantha standing just two steps away from the door. I was to hurt to be surprised and I don't care if she heard everything. I've said what I said, and I'm not taking it back.

I stepped aside to give her a way inside. And as soon as show walked in, I shut the door close.

As I walked out of the house, I called the most trusted friend I have in life.

"Hey Yohan, is everything ready? Meet me at Cho's right now."

Shaun's POV

It's already 12:00 midnight and she's still not home.

I still can't forget the pain in her eyes while saying those words to me. Somehow I realized, I wasn't the only victim in this situation. She too is.

Her family, married her off to me as payment for the debt that they cannot pay, she sold her off to my family. As a result of this marriage comes a merging of two companies which also benefited both sides. We were able to monopolized the industry.

But it's true that she ruined everything, my life.

I was about to marry Samantha, when my parents asked me to drop my marriage to her and instead marry Daneese. Samantha is an ordinary girl who unlike Daneese is a little unfortunate in life. And she is the one I ever wanted to marry, not Daneese.

I head back to my office, just in the opposite side of her room. We separated sleeping two months after our wedding since I asked Samantha to live with me. I never asked her, this is my house in the first place, and we are only marriage through papers and that's all there is to it.

I continued my relationship with Samantha to this day.

"Hey." A soft voice coming from the other side on the door. I know immediately it's her. She is the only person I've met, who have a softest voice in my entire life.

"It's open." I answered.

"What do you want? Still didn't get enough earlier?"

"Don't start with me Shaun." It was cold. Stone-cold voice I heard from her. And for some reason, I don't like it. She took out a folded brown envelope from her bag. She sighed so deep. "I have prepare deverything Shaun, just a swift of your pen and it's done."

I looked at the folder she handed me. What I saw inside surprised me – no, I felt strange. I thought I would be happy because finally. "What is this, Daneese?"

"I realized many things during our argument today. You were right, I ruined your life, I ruined you. And I think this is the only way to atone for my mistake."

"What are you doing?" This time, I never understand why I feel this way. But yes, I'm crying. And not because I'm happy but because I felt pain just by looking at her.

She wiped her tears and smiled, "Let's divorce, Shaun."
