"Riley, it's Halloween!" Farkle says as he walks in to her room. Farkle did this often. Riley trusted him.

"I know. Why aren't you wearing black?" Riley questions.

"We were supposed to be cheerleaders!" Farkle shouts.

"No, I texted you last night that we're ninjas. After binge watching American Ninja Warrior with Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila, I changed my mind," Riley replies.

Farkle checks his phone, "God damn it!" Farkle says realizing he was wrong. "Whatever, I'll go as an undercover ninja," Farkle says.

"We're ninjas not spies," Riley claims. Farkle shrugs and they walk to the subway to go to school.

"Who you texting?" Riley asks Farkle while on the subway train.

"I'm not texting anyone, I'm playing Cut the Rope," Farkle answers. The train stops and they walk the rest of the way to school.

"Oh no. We're the only ones wearing costumes!" Farkle says as they enter the school.

"It's fine, we are perfectly weird," Riley replies back to him.

"Hey, I heard you liked Glee, so I thought you would like this," a voice speaks from behind. Riley knew that voice, the high pitched voice that sounded like a mouse squeaking. They turn around and Missy Bradford and Maya Hart slushie them. The two girls laugh and walk away.

"Not the blue one!" Riley screams. They wipe the slushies from their eyes and runs to the bathroom.

"God! Such a great way to start Halloween!" Riley says cleaning off the drink from her hair. She was humiliated, Riley can't face the outside world now. She walks out of the bathroom not wanting to be seen by anyone. Every step Riley takes She thinks everyone is staring at her watching her every move.

It went on like that for the rest of the day, so Riley thought to lay low and eat lunch at the bleachers. She would nibble at her food making sure not to look disgusting while eating.

"Hey, what happened?" Brandon says walking over to his embarrassed best friend.

"I'm Rachel , and those bitches are the football players!" She screeches hoping Brandon would get the Glee reference.

"Wait who? And yes I get the reference," Brandon assures Riley.

"They slushied me! Maya and Missy slushied my face in front of everyone, and the flavor was grape if you're asking," Riley further explains.

"Maya Hart? Wasn't she like your best friend or some shit?" Brandon asks curiously.

"She was, emphasize on the was. She left me for the fear-leaders. We haven't been on good graces since the end of sixth grade," Riley says talking about the dreaded cheerleaders and her ex best friend.

"Oh yeah. Well... Riley, I know you know that I am not good at comforting people so-" Brandon tries to say, but gets interrupted.

The bell rang and the two left the bleachers and went to their next class. For Riley, it was English. "Oh, look the klutz decided to show her face," Missy points out as Riley walks through the door. She was in the middle of a conversation with Lucas.

"Hey to you too Bradford!" Riley sarcastically says, she gave a fake smile and sat down. Missy continued her conversation with Lucas talking about how hilarious he his. Riley rolled her eyes, how annoying can Missy get? The class went on with snickers and whispers. Riley goes to her art class which turns out to be pretty uneventful. Except, she had to continue her project with Maya Hart and heard more whispers.

Riley rushes to the subway after school, so she could have a good seat. Luckily, Riley is riding the train with none of her friends, so she could listen to her music. Along the ride to the subway station near her home, she listens to the album, Eyes Wide Open, by Sabrina Carpenter. The collection of songs gives her such high expectations for love and friendship. She hums along to the songs. Finally, the subway stops and Riley hops off to go home. She heads home still listening about how someone's love is like flowers in the spring time and how it feels like everyday is valentine. Someone will make me feel like this... Sooner or later. Somebody will make me feel special.

She takes a nap once she arrives home to get that horrid day out of her head. "Riley! Riley!" The voice from outside her window whisper-screams. "Riley!" The voice shouts. Riley moves around and falls off the bed causing her to wake up.

"I'm fine. I'm fine!" Riley says startled . "Farkle, what are you doing here?" She asks.

"It's Halloween. We were supposed to go trick-or-treating or crash the party at Missy's we weren't invited to," Farkle reminds her.

"There's a party at Missy's? And we weren't invited?" Riley asks.

"Yeah, I told you, remember Lucas got invited, but we didn't. It's a costume party. Where all the girls probably will dress like black cats because they are basic," Farkle says putting air quotes around basic.

"Oh. Well, I'm not feeling it this year. Maybe next week!" Riley says still tired.

"We will get into that costume party even if it gets both of us killed, I have a prank," Farkle tells her. He explains the plan to his tired friend and she agrees. They're going to get in like ninjas.

Looks like the partners in crime have a plan or at least Farkle does.
