Twenty // You Are In Love

The flowers are bloomed, the bees are buzzing, the guests are sweating. It's currently the season of spring and everyone is burning in their thick dresses and snug suits. The groom could be sweating because of nervousness or maybe it's just hot. They weren't expecting ninety eight degrees at this time of year. The heat won't ruin the perfect day though. The crowd takes their seats and the entourage takes their places. The place is accented in a mint green and peonies, the bride's favorite flowers. The wedding arch is beautifully decorated with white flowers.

Make You Feel My Love by Adele softly plays as the crowd stands up signaling that the bride is walking in.

There she is, the star of the event. She is holding a bundle of peonies in her hand and is walking down the aisle. She walks slowly to capture the moment and not trip. She makes it, no mistakes, to the front of the room. She gives the bundle to her blond best friend, the maid of honor, and holds her partner's arms. The minister stands between them and begins to speak.

"I do." He says surely smiling.

"I do." She returns her voice shaky, but filled with joy.

"You may kiss the bride." The minister says signaling the newly weds.

"He doesn't know the song I picked for the first dance," She says, the crowd laughs. "But it's the first time I noticed I loved him." She continues, the crowd awes. The groom smiles.

The song plays and they start dancing to the simple words and soft tune. You Are In Love by Taylor Swift.

Memories come flooding back. Senior year, the semi-formal, graduation.

In that moment, gazing into each other's eyes, all their problems disappeared. Nothing seemed to matter other than the music and them.

Looks like hope isn't for suckers because they found each other.
