It would be a pretty piece of cake to walk away from Kamol now.. it would be the easiest thing in the world to just take the chance to walk away while he can…

That was what Kit was thinking somewhere between the vacation and when Kamol made it official that he is retiring and whoever wants to walk away can…

Except that Kit has some stacks in the compound that are not money in Kamol’s hands.. it was people he cared about… it was 2 people he grew fond of.. gradually and then… all at once..

It started with Ruj.. with how Ruj and him would usually be partnered… they would always have each other's back.. they would cover each other … it was even before coming to work with Kamol… they have been side by side since god knows how long..

Of course physical needs were part of the equation.. no one can be fooled here.. Not Khom… not Auntie Nee.. definitely not Kamol…

But then Lop was also a part of said equation and for a while Kit felt like he was balancing a scale that cannot be balanced.. until both of them got the hint and it became a balance they cannot live without…

Kit came into the Compound shortly after Khom … along with Ruj.. because Kamol promised good money.. give them a fighting chance… a paying fighting chance..

And over the years that promise he did deliver on.. multiple times…

Don't get him wrong… but when you grow up in an orphanage… you accidentally become a bit possessive of people.. of anything you own… because theoretical… he never owned a thing… even Ruj was never his… he was by his side… but never to call him his…

Lop came shortly after that… and well… both have been sharing his attention for a while… it was like a fit.. not too tight but not too snug as well.. they would hang out together and … well other things as well when the time and the place allowed it.

That was until the vacation when all hell broke loose… until all three made the decision to be involved… physically of course but they were leaning more and more into each other as well.. they had each other back.. each of them trusted the others with his life.. in more than one sense of the word..

and then Kamol took the leap because Kim deserved a life where he was not threatened every other day and like before… they followed him.. the man has never led them astray… Why would he start now..

Kit was … annoyed… inspired… he didn’t know.. he was rather the muscles.. Ruj was the one who was all brain … and Lop was the glue.. the thing that made them come together… Ruj once described it that he was the water and Kit was the Fire and somehow Lop was what made it all mix… and without him both would destroy each other.. and it did.. almost did.. because Kit was physical.. he expressed himself physically.. not in any way good with words.. he can talk with well aimed kicks and punches.. he can talk well in bed and communicate his needs.. and responds with equal enthusiasm

but talking about what should be done and what would happen now was definitely not his thing…

The entire balance started to crumble right after Ivan left and the whole dust around Kamol was clearing.. he already made sure that things are … retiring in more than way.. he would not risk another Danai Situation with Kim or with anyone else.. because now they are a family.. not just Mafia men..

Kit and Khom and Kamol had some sort of silent packt to make sure that they don’t dull out, the fact that Kamol is no longer in Mafia business, doesn’t make him invisible or safe all over a sudden… he still need his men as sharp as a knief and that cannot change, because his past is not going to suddenly evabourte now …
