FYI, Levi shortens the reader's nickname in this chapter to Ang, and it's pronounced Anj- like if you're saying Angel and literally just drop the second syllable. XOXO enjoy my loves <3

You're going dress shopping.
Dress shopping. At a fancy boutique filled with dresses that look like they would cost you a year's salary. And you get to try them on and even pick one to wear.
This might just be a fever dream.
You and Levi are out the door by noon, dressed and ready for shopping. You're trying not to let it show how excited you are, but you're fidgeting in your seat and you can't keep your hands still. Luckily, Levi's driving, so you don't think he's paying that much attention to you.
At least, until he asks, "why the fuck are you so fidgety?"
"Nerves," is your default answer.
"Nervous about trying on dresses?"
"No. Maybe not nerves. I'm excited," you admit.
"I didn't take you for a shopper."
"You didn't?" You think about it. You like shopping, but the crowds, and going into stores without buying anything, and browsing, and pushy employees... yeah, you don't do it much. "Fair," you say. "I like it, but I don't really do it often."
He takes a turn. "Too much social activity?"
"Too much social activity," you agree. "Online shopping is what I'm best at."
The drive into town continues. Levi's mansion is a bit out of the way, so it takes maybe twenty minutes until you can start seeing a massive congregation of buildings on the horizon. You kind of like that his place is more out of the way, and you bet he does too, seeing as you both tend to stay away from the social scene.
As Levi slows the car down to drive around town, you look out the window and take in the world around you. There's lot of people out and about, bundled up in winter gear. The city's buildings and streetlamps are decorated with Christmas lights.
It's a wonderful atmosphere, if you're honest. You don't enjoy the cold, sure, and the crowds always make you anxious- but you can't deny it's pretty.
Levi takes a turn, and you see a massive plaza with what looks like a skating rink and dozens of small brown shacks. The plaza is adorned with lights and Christmas trees, and it's filled with people. "What's going on there?" you ask, eyes transfixed on a young couple skating together.
"Christmas markets, probably," Levi says. "The city has them going for all of December."
"Christmas markets," you echo as the bustling square fades away into the distance.
When you don't say anything else, he adds, "interested?"
You shrug. "It looks crowded." You look to him. "Ever been to one?"
"Yeah. My mother loved them."
You notice the use of past tense, but he doesn't elaborate, so you don't push him on it. You straighten yourself up as Levi tells you that you're almost there, focusing your mind back on the situation at hand: dress shopping.
Levi pulls into a small parking lot, and you hop out of the car, already starting to feel nervous. Levi starts walking and you trail after him, eyes wide as he leads you to what looks like a small store. The store's name is in a language you don't recognize, and through the windows, you can see dresses hanging from both mannequins and clothes racks.
When he pushes the door open, the bell above it jingles, and almost immediately, an employee is in front of you. "Mr. Ackerman," she says politely. "We've been expecting you."
