She fell asleep leaning her head on my shoulder.
I guess she doesn't realize that she did.For awhile, I stared at the fire in front us, that she made.
I have fallen in love of how fire lives. I have fallen in love of her, the presence of her.
At first I denied that I was in love, but now I seem to give up.I felt a cold drip on my arm, and I realize that she was crying in her sleep.
I believe she has been through a lot of pain, but she still acts strong like she didn't feel anything.
But in fact I know she is strong, like how fire lives.Carefully, I wiped the tears from her freckled cheeks.
"You're going to be fine." I whispered in my heart.-
I woke up in the middle of the night to a sound. I woke Thalia up too, but she's still half awake.
Everything is dark, since the fire has been out. I looked to the right and left, but there is nothing.A tiger hops to the front of us from the back of the log we're leaning, sending a terrible shock to us. A half awake Thalia now is fully wide awake, looking at it, and then me.
I got up, slowly, to stand, with Thalia following me.
"Easy.. Easy." I whispered.
But secretly, I prepared for the worst. I hid my hands on my back, growing spikes in between my fingers. It groans multiple times, until it decided to attack us.
I threw the spikes straight to it's leg, so it couldn't walk.
Thalia burns out a big flame, threw it in front of the white tiger, separating us from the tiger. It was confused for a second, but it was actually fearless, and it jumped through the fire, landing in just two feet in front of us.
Like a half second later, I raised spikes as I shoved my right arm up, from the ground to its neck, stabbing it to death. Heavy blood flowing from its neck to the entire area.
I made the spikes go down, leaving the tiger laying on its own blood.I was surprised of what I've done, I didn't mean it after all. I wish it didn't found and attacked us so it could still live.
"Let's get out of here." I said.
-
"We're dumb enough to sleep without any of us to guard." Thalia said, laughing.
The dawn is coming, the sky is covered by shades of dark orange color.
"I'm kind of terrified of what I just did. I don't know what happened and its blood just splats everywhere!"She didn't reply, he looked back to her but she's looking at something there, on the branch of a tree.
I notice that there, perch a beautiful dove, and Thalia is slowly approaching it. She picked something that seems like a sunflower seed from her small bag, giving it to that white dove.
It eats the seed, and then she manage to caress its feather.
I came to her, smiled and joined to pet it.It flew in a sudden, making us both confused.
Without knowing it, somebody enfolded me from the back, making me lose consciousness.-- end of chapter --
Looks like I just snapped you guys in the back with ending this part with Thomas being unconscious! (I'm such an annoying writer, teehee. And I will continue to annoy you more.)
