CASSANDRA'S PERSPECTIVE
CURRENT: 9:57am - May 27, 2017.
CASSY'S MIND SET: February 12, 2015.
"Cas, wake up. Cas.. someone's looking for you," I groaned loudly. I covered my face with a pillow and went back to sleep. Let that person wait for me, I'm still sleeping and I don't want to be disturbed.
"Cassandra.." I head a girl's voice cooed. I groaned once more and removed the pillow from my face. "What th- who are you?" my eyes shot wide open when I saw a girl. A pretty girl. She has a long jet black hair that stands out from her milky white skin. Her skin is really fair. And, she has these eyes that matches the color of her hair.
She laughed shyly and rubbed the back of her neck. "I'm Irene," she smiled at me. My eyebrows knitted in confusion. "Irene? Do I know you like.. personally?" I asked her again. She smiled once again and nodded her head.
"I've been your housemate since you started to move here and have your part time job. And that was like.. two years ago," she said. I sighed.
"I'm sorry if I can't remember you.. I don't know what's happening to me,"
"It's okay, Cas. Well, you should fix yourself first because someone is waiting for you downstairs," she waved at me and was about to go out of the door. I stopped her.
She stopped and looked back at her. "Who was it? Who was waiting for me downstairs?" I asked.
"Darren."
"Darren?"
"Oh. Yeah, you don't remember him at all. He's the guy who lives next door. And, he's been our neighbor for about 2 years," she answered me with an uneasy smile. I smiled back at her, then, she left. I sighed and stood up from the bed. Wait, where's my parents?
As my feet stepped on an unfamiliar surface, I picked it up immediately. "Wha-?" my mouth stopped when I saw what was written on the first page. Memory Notebook.
I chuckled. Notebook? It looks like a scrapbook, though. I made this? Silly me.
My fingers consciously skipped the first page of the scrapbook. I don't know why but, my instincts were telling me to do so.
"It's already year 2017. My parents are dead. So is my twin brother Maverick. I was so shocked when Darren told me about it, and at the same time, shocked. He told me, February 12 when we were about to go to a Valentine's Day Party when we (my family and I) got into an accident. I was a lucky survivor to survive. But, when I asked Darren about how did he know about the accident, his answer broke my heart. Because his answer was-"
I was reading the note out loud when someone knocked on my door. "Cassandra, it's me, Irene. Breakfast's ready! Just go down whenever you're ready, okay?" she shouted through the door. I nodded to myself and closed the Memory Notebook.
I looked around the room, there were so many sticky notes posted on the wall. From the window, to the curtain. From the cabinet, to the door. From the bed to the side table. From the floor to the mirror. Since I'm near the window, I read the note.
Good morning to you!
This window. This is where we first met. You were fixing your things when you caught me staring at you. I blushed, you laughed, you waved at me. You knew who I am, I knew who you are. - U
