For those who are prone to abandonment, loss may be something they could care less about.

For those who experience it for the very first time however... It can be as deadly as the Western Taipan. You feel off as it slithers up your leg, you fear it. You do your best to ignore the lingering danger.. But you cannot put aside the feeling when it strikes. It comes in fast, deadlier than any venom you could possibly think of.

Selescte, would know. But that topic is for another day.

Because Selescte, just found what he thinks may be the cure to that venom.

But the most dangerous foes are always fascinatingly beautiful, right?

The halls lined with gold, shimmering as the light from the chandelier shone onto them. The carpets, a magnificent royal blue that stood out so much that it felt right being there. Royal blue curtains shielded the light from outside, letting only the artificial light be made known.

The cutlery, fine and sharp.

The seats, smooth and rich with an impeccable fresh white color to them that made them seem heavenly, it would feel illegal to sit in something such as that, because it felt you needed to pay to even glance at it. Which is why the boy was dumbfounded when Sapphire-San led him to sit in that very chair.

"What?! This is far too nice for my soiled clothes to ruin it, sir!" He protested, but the man insisted and so the boy sat down.

He was brought a platter of food larger than any other one he'd seen before, it was filled enough to be for a party of 5 people. The man said it was okay to eat, since it was for the boy- though the boy still only ate very little, saving the rest for the man.

"We really need to work on your appetite.." The man sighed.
"I just.. Wouldn't want all this food wasted on me." The boy replied, and the man seemed irritated at his response.

"It wouldn't be wasting the food, it would be using it for what it's for. Feeding the starving, so eat. You'll be having far more than just scraps you can find in grocery bags now."
The boy- Selescte, seemed grateful yet felt guilty. He wished that his family got this treatment instead of himself. What he realized just then, was that he would have to get used to this. Used to this horrifyingly large home that had walls enclosing him inside, used to the fancy food and manners he'd have to learn, used to the schedules..

Used to the lack of freedom.

Selescte POV

As I lay on my new, comfortable bed I wonder if this is just a formal way of kidnapping. What if the man had ill intentions? But he seemed too nice for that. He did get mad though? He just wants the best for me. All of my doubts had an easy fix to them, and I disliked it for some reason. I was safe, I was protected and guarded.. Did I not want to be?..

Of course I wanted to be. I am merely grieving over losing my original home. It is hard to let go.
