Hannibal Lecter's Human Liver with Fava BeansDr.Lecter prefers his cannibal recipes in an Italian style. This meal includes liver cut in cubes and sautéed in a butter and olive oil combo with caramelized onions. This dish is a Venetian recipe, served with a Tuscan-leaning fava bean stew, seasoned with rosemary. Dr.Lecter recommends that this dish is best served with a glass of chianti.Shoemaker KebabThe already deceased Sam Shoemaker was the first of the Donner Party to get eaten, he was apparently spitted and cooked over a fire at the Alder Creek encampment in 1846. To make this meal you need to cut the most tender and convenient parts of the body - such as the buttocks, eyeballs, breast and internal organs - into two-inch chunks, place on a grill stick, mix with sweet Vidalia onions if you have them, and cook over an open fire to preferred doneness.Lung SashimiLung Sashimi is when you remove the entire lung to be eaten raw, only seasoned with mucus and blood.Friday's Crusoe StewThis recipe was never made in the correct, intended way, because Robinson Crusoe liberates Friday from his cannibal captors and converts him to Christianity which does not permit cannibalism. The usual method of preparation includes removing the clothes from the human, cutting up the body into its component parts (arms, legs, internal organs, head, ect.), then stewed in a large cauldron/three legged pot that has been blackened from years of use. Poached pieces are then speared, removed from the pot and eaten.Brains And MargarinePeter Bryan was a long-term patient at a maximum security psychiatric hospital for the brutal slaying of a 20 year old woman in 1993 with a hammer. He was eventually moved to another hospital 9 years later and was allowed to leave the hospital without supervision. This was obviously a bad decision because within only a few hours of his release he had killed 43 year old Brian Cherry with the blunt force of his preferred weapon, a hammer. By the time the police had showed up Bryan had torn off Cherry's arms and legs and they had found bits of human brain in a frying pan on the stove. Bryan had explained that he had been frying the brain with margarine and that it had tasted 'really nice'. He never gave the cooking method but he did say that the meat from Cherry's arms and legs had tasted like chicken. They then put him back into a psychiatric hospital, once he was in he murdered another patient.A Tasty AppetizerAlexander was a 21 year old art student who had his hip replaced in 2010 due to a birth defect. The doctor allowed him to keep his hip bone after the surgery when he asked. Alex had planned to interpret it into his art. He threw the bone into a pot of boiling water to clean it. He decided to scrape off the remaining flesh and out of curiosity he took a bite. He described it as tasting 'really nice'.Clearly he liked it a lot because he made a full dish out of the bits of flesh. Unfortunately it was only enough to make a small appetizer with how little meat was on the bone. He then served his dish with a side of potato au gratin and a glass of wine. A quote he said about the flavor was "It had this flavor of wild sheep, if you take a sheep that goes in the mountains and eats mushrooms. It was goaty."Barbecued Not So Spare RibsOmaima Nelson married 56 year old William Nelson in 1991. Three weeks into their marriage Omaima accused her husband of beating and (insert other things that I can not say for school reasons) her before she snapped and murdered him. After the murder, Omaima dismembered his body, then fried his hands and boiled his head, she then removed his ribs, covered them with barbecue sauce and cooked them. When asked to describe the taste, She apparently exclaimed "It's so sweet, it's so delicious ... I like mine tender. I cooked the ribs like in a restaurant."Stew, Pudding and Long Pork RindsIn 2005 a blogger popped up claiming to be "nineteen, female, Canadian, and a cannibal." The blogger, Cannibal Gourmet, explains "I enjoy the idea of someone giving themselves to me, so that I can consume them. But I have no interest in causing my meal pain or death. I also have no interest in eating someone who is unwilling." She then goes on to say "I have so far only partaking in one 'cannibal feast'. The gentleman I ate is still alive and well, to the best of my knowledge. I used a tourniquet to stop the blood flow to his leg before I amputated it. We roasted some of his meat over an open fire and shared it. The rest I took home to eat myself." Cannibalgourmet even provides 3 recipes on her blog, she also adds information about how to best kill your meal and a cannibal dictionary. "Stew2-3 lbs flank meat (abdominal muscles) cut into cubes about 1"1 medium onion cut into coarse chunks2-3 medium potatoes cut into large chunks1 cup peas1 cup carrots cut into chunks2 cups water ( if desired use 1 1/2 cups water with 1/2 cup red wine)1/4-1/2 cup flour1 tsp gravy brownersalt and pepper to tasteBoil over medium heat the meat and potatoes in half the water till meat turns grey. Then skim off fat before adding onion. Thoroughly mix flour, gravy browner and the rest of the water before adding it to the stewpot at this time ( if it's to thick add more water). Add salt and pepper to taste and add the rest of the vegetables and turn the temperature to low. The stew will be done in about two hours or until all the vegetables are tender.Black pudding (a traditional Scottish breakfast)2 liters of fresh blood (about enough to fill a large soda bottle)1-2 cups of milksalt & pepperminced liver & kidneyssausage casings (optional)Put all ingredients in a large stock pot and cook over a low heat until ingredients form a thick paste. [Low temperature is essential otherwise the blood will clot to fast and instead of the consistency of a thick pudding (hence the name black pudding) you will end up with something resembling black cottage cheese (yuck!) ] Once this is done you can either pour this mix into a loaf pan or stuff it into sausage casings. I prefer a loaf pan because it takes less work :)Long pig pork rindsSkinHot oilsalted waterspices (you can find nice mixes of spice in your local grocery store in convenient plastic bottles)Cut the fresh skin into 1" strips and soak in water over night. Use the blunt end of a knife to scrape the both sides of the skin strips. Put the strips one at a time in the hot oil (be careful not to get burnt) take them out when they are golden brown or slightly lighter. Drain on paper towels (you'll need quite a few) and dust with the spices. Enjoy."Being the useful cannibal that she is she has given us some very helpful tips for cooking with human meat:"Human breasts, contrary to popular belief are not very appetizing. They are about 90% fat and the rest is made of lymph nodes, veins, skin and other gristle. They are however very good for rendering along with other fatty bits you should trim off your good meat." and "Just remember three things: human meat can be tough so its best cooked slowly at a low temperature, human meat has a bit of a gamey taste and may clash with some recipes and human meat (especially from females) has an unusually high fat content so there is less need for basting but more need for skimming."
