A/N: NARRATORS POV
Joey and Holton walked into the Gallagher's house, laughing about a joke Holton just told her
"Where were you last night?" Carl asked her with a worried look
"What?" Joey replied chuckling
"Junior called last night asking if you were here, why weren't you home?" He continued
"Oh, I was at Holton's house" she said seeing Carl's face turn serious
"Why didn't you call me?" He asked yet another question
"I didn't want to bother anyone and Holton's place was closer, I didn't think it'd be a big deal" Joey replied getting quieter and quieter
"You could've called or texted, why didn't you?" Carl's tone becoming more angry
"Can you stop bombarding me with questions?!" Joey yelled back
"Then tell me why you went to him instead of me!?" Carl yelled even louder, getting closer to her
"Look man, she just needed a place to stay alright? It's not a big deal" Holton jumped into the conversation
"Not a big deal?" Carl paused "it is a big deal when MY girlfriend went to my so called best friend instead of me!"
"Hey what's going on?" Fiona walked in the living room hearing the commotion
"You don't trust me" Joey mumbled but everyone heard her
"Joey-" Carl gets cut off
"No you don't trust me, that's it right?" Joey snapped
"J-" Holton put his hand on her shoulder
"No, if you wanna know so bad on why I was at Holton's it's because my mom is back!" Joey shouted seeing everyone's face, pushing Holton's hand off
"But you would have known that if you didn't make everything about yourself!"
Carl stood there filled with guilt, Fiona and the rest of the Gallagher's shocked, Tate looked concerned and Val looked at her with sympathy
Joey knew this was gonna happen sooner or later, she knew Carl was never really good with feelings,
but she thought maybe if she told him about her mom, he would finally stop talking about himself and finally focus on her but I guess he had other plans.
Before Carl could say anything, Joey ran out with Holton chasing after her
"Carl did you know about this?" Ian asked
"Yeah cause I was the one who found her mom" Carl replied back softly
"You what?!" Tate, Val, and Oliver said at the same time
"Carl why would you do that?" Tate asked
"I didn't know that's how her mom treated her"
"Of course you didn't, because you never listen to her" Val scoffed and ran out to check on Joey with Tate behind her
