ACT ONE / CHAPTER SEVEN
" Do You Miss Being Here? !! "
_____________________________________REAL LIFE
It was finally race week. Aka; the Australian Grand Prix. Correction — Hailey and Oscar's first time seeing each other. Well, second if you look deeper into it.
Hailey thought she was going to be nervous. Her friends around her were on high alert, expecting her to be anxious with an insane amount of nerves. But shockingly, she was more excited than scared.
This was in fact not how things usually went with the girl. Hailey found herself worrying constantly about everything around her. Everyone knew this.
But somehow, one of the weirdest situations in her life, felt like it was going to go by with ease. As if she has done this millions of times before or as if it was meant to be.
Lanaiya and Aurélie were ready to assure her to go through with it. Hell, they were ready to drag her to the race themselves in their new heels. It simply wasn't needed though. Not that they were complaining.
If anything, the two girls were happy for Hailey. Seeing her so excited for something for the first time in a while. Ever since she started getting close with Oscar, her energy had shifted everywhere she went.
Hailey couldn't necessarily explain it herself, but her two best friends could. She was falling for him. Horrendously.
To Hailey, that was bad news. Impossible and complicated. To the girls, it was a mission. An important mission to complete for them to set a journey on. The task was simple; get Hailey together and convince her to go for it. Even if Lewis was most likely to be lurking around the corner...
"Hailey, how exactly are you going to be meeting with Oscar here?" Aurélie questioned her friend as they walked side by side along the pavement of a park.
Hailey looked towards her on her right. "Oh, not here. Tomorrow, so it's after the stressful race weekend."
Lanaiya giggled under her breath next to them, adjusting the sunglasses on her face.
"What are you planning to do exactly?" Aurélie smirked as her thick Monégasque accent filled the air. A group of younger girls walked passed the trio with waves and smiles, to which they returned as they passed by a fountain.
"He said he was going to surprise me with some of his favorite places around here," Hailey replied with a grin, remembering the conversation they had on the phone. She was excited to be in Australia where Oscar was from.
"Okayyy," Lanaiya sounded out, quickly turning around to walk backward in front of her friends. "What else did he say?"
Hailey scoffed a laugh as she walked backward, "That was it. No details or anything, just that I would find out."
Aurélie rolled her eyes, "It's the stalker in him."
"Stop Élie!"
"Old habits," Lanaiya joked along and then pointed to a small building connected to many others across the street. "Yes? No?"
The girls looked to where she was pointing to see an ice cream shop. Their eyes had widened and mouths began watering immediately as they nodded and agreed to head over there.
