Aleksander's pov

I can't remember the last time I had a good night's sleep but when I woke up in the morning I noticed she was still in my arms as I had my face buried in her neck. Her scent..she held this smell and for a while I hadn't figured out what it was until I finally did.. Alpha. She had an inner Alpha which explained why she was so defiant.

An Alpha mate for the Alpha of Alphas..seems fitting. I thought

I knew by the rules I wasn't supposed to see her face, not really but she was asleep so I couldn't really see her eyes. I moved her hair from covering her face as I looked at her seeing she was asleep peacefully. I ran my hand over her arm when I felt something I wasn't expecting. A scab, when she was running she must have harmed herself in the process to escape the pack. Yet I did not smell blood on her when I picked her up from the tub.

Or did you get harmed when you attacked those men with your family.. I thought

While we had set rules, being head Alpha here had its perks as I watched her adjust and I saw her scratch by the scab so it was healing. Yet she adjusted in my arms as she buried her face in my shirt I had on as I held her..I knew she was used to the smell of my scent since I'd been here every night since I'd picked her.

But who the hell are you really? I thought

"General..you're staring.." She said sleepily as that caught me off guard knowing she knew who I was..well who I am to 2nd army. She didn't know my name either but now I knew why she'd buried her face in my shirt to conceal her face from me. I'd decided enough was enough as I was going to do something not normally done...keep her with me for the whole day so I had the shadows bring over her mask as it went on and she put a hand on the mask.

"What are you.." She said but I then picked her up as I knew where I was heading as I had a plan in mind. I just needed to figure out the next part as I was ready to have her in any way I could but for that I needed that insufferable woman's elixir to help me test and see if this girl would be one of those who'd develop the kink of being knotted.

I made sure no one had seen her like this even when she was starting to talk when people were going by my shadows covering her mouth as she tried to fight. When I made it to Baghra's hut I walked in with her on my shoulder still as I walked down the steps seeing mother in her chair as I sat the girl down in the free chair and let her go.

When she went to say something, she must have realized because she closed her mouth as if she didn't want to say anything. I looked at my mother knowing she had set this up and she had some tea and looked at us. "Well I didn't expect you to bring her." Baghra said as I looked at her. I knew this little secret was not something I could exactly keep from the girl so I didn't. "I need you to make those drinks, mother." I said

Mother looked at me for a second before she looked at the girl in the chair. I figured they had a link that I was not a part of but this was going to change as I knew that there were secrets and then she left to go make the drinks I asked for. I heard the gasp of surprise from the girl so mother must have told her the truth as I looked at her.

Within a matter of time she'd brought them out and I took one downing it without hesitation as she walked over to the girl getting her to drink it. I looked at them seeing how..gentle she was with her. She wasn't like that with the other grisha so who was this girl?

Wait..white wolf. Sun Summoner..A De La Rosa descendant..that wolf with the aged fur was Catalina De La Rosa. I thought

When he'd taken me out of the room with just the night dress, I was a bit panicked knowing it wasn't appropriate. "What are you.." before I could say anything more his shadows were covering my mouth.I tried to remove them but that was impossible and when I went for the mask that wasn't budging either as I felt his shadows around us and I knew he was up to no good!
