CH-4

I met Hanni at the canteen, my friends joined me.

She wasn't really happy with my friends joining me so i told them to leave, in our group texts, they immediately left.

I kept eating the sandwich in front of me. I just bought it because Hanni likes sandwich.

"Are you just going to eat? Don't you wanna talk?"

I averted my gaze over her, "Yeah, let's talk..."

She rolled her eyes, "Nevermind." She whispered before eating her sandwich.

We ate in silence.

Hanni was not in a good mood and i understood that she didn't like my behaviour around her. I appeared closed off to her.

Before our marriage, i wasn't like that, although i do talk less but it wasn't a complete silence.

I really felt bad for Hanni but i did tell her to reject me.

After we were done we got up and parted our ways, she placed a kiss over my cheek. I did the same to her.

"How can she be so rude? We could have spent some time together." Lisa spoke looking at me, referring to how Hanni didn't wanted them there.

"Seriously, we weren't going to marry you." Nayeon joked and i chuckled at that.

"Hanni must be possesive. When we weren't friends, i have seen her gatekeeping you, before your marriage." Sunghwa spoke pointing out the past.

"I'm really sorry guys... I wanted y'all there but-"

"It's okay Yoohyeon. No need to worry about it." Lisa cut off my sentence with a smile.

"Thanks for understanding." I replied.

I parted my way with my friends and went towards Hanni's car.

She was waiting for me.

This was just the starting of my miserable life.

Once i sat inside the car, Hanni received someone's call.

After ending the call, she faced me.

"Your mom wants me to cook something for us." She spoke. She sounded happy and excited about it.

"You don't know how to cook." I replied.

Her smile dropped at that, i placed my hand over her hand, "I wasn't trying to be rude... Can you cook?" I asked her.

"I can try..."

"Okay..." I replied.

Hanni was so excited to cook she didn't even change her clothes.

I went to my room and suddenly i felt very much tired. I decided to take a bath.

Realising, i had assignments to do, i started doing my assignments after my shower.

One assignment was already done, it took me one hour, i was now on the second assignment.

Hanni still didn't return. After two hours, i heard a knock over the door.

I walked towards it, opening it, i saw a servant, "The dinner is ready." He spoke.

"Okay, let's go..." I left my things on the study table and followed the servant.

I was the only one left to eat. They were already done.

My mom took initiative to serve me what Hanni had made.

Hanni sat beside me patiently.

It was chicken gravy.

I took a spoon and started eating. First bite ; It was extremely salty. I looked up at Hanni who was eagerly waiting for my comment.

Did they all ate this?

"How is it?" She asked me.

"It tastes good..." I whispered with a smile.

I looked at my plate, i decided to take small bites. My parents kept praising Hanni after i complimented her.

After i finished the plate, my mom was trying to serve me more but i denied, being careful not to hurt Hanni's feelings.

I then walked up the stairs.

I was about to fall asleep when i heard the door being opened and Hanni entering inside with a smile.

"I can't believe it..." She spoke looking at me.

"What...?"

"Your parents..."

"What about them?"

"I tasted the gravy, it was salty but they told me not to tell you or stop you from eating that shit."

"Oh..."

My reply was enough for her to know that it was usual. Me eating whatever they gave me.

She walked towards me and patted my stomach, "Are you hungry?" She asked.

I was but how can I tell her.

"Should I order something for us?" She continued.

When i didn't reply she decided to order for us.

I ate what she ordered atleast it wasn't salty.

After that, i went to sleep, Hanni was reading a book when i slept.

My eyes fluttered open in the morning, i felt Hanni's hand over my waist, her chin rested near my shoulder.

I hate this.

I gently gripped over her hand and moved out of the bed.

I decided to complete the second assignment before taking the shower.

My second assignment was almost over, Hanni was awake till then, she walked towards me and placed a kiss over my cheek, wrapping her arms around my shoulders from behind.

"Do you need any help in it?" She asked.

"No..." I replied to which she hummed and went to shower.

My life was stuck in a loop.

I would wake up, eat breakfast, listen to my parent's rules and regulations on a daily basis on how to behave now that I'm married, go to university, act happy with Hanni, meet my friends there, talk to them about everything but my marriage, return home, spend time with Hanni in my room.

I tried my best to tell her everynight how i do not like her, that was the only time i got to speak with her without others being there.

This night wasn't different, a month has already passed for our marriage.

"I don't like you..." I whispered in a lower voice, she gripped over my hands and shifted closer to me on the bed, not saying anything.

This is the annoying part, she doesn't reply to what i feel. "I really don't like you..." I whispered again.

She turned around and switched off the lights. Ending the conversation there.
