Lily’s day would usually begin with her struggling to find the perfect outfit. She didn’t care that much about what she wore, but she had to uphold her high reputation. She envied Calla’s ability to not care what others thought of her.
Sometimes she would even consider putting on her most comfortable clothes, and simply not going out at all. It was on that specific day that she decided to do just that, after all, she had promised Calla the week before, that she would stay home and spend more time with her.
Lily didn’t really understand why Calla was so adamant that she stay home since they would already hang out whenever she would get home. But this time was different.
Something about the way Calla asked her to stay home seemed important.
Like she had something to tell her.
Lily also had something she wanted to tell Calla, but she couldn’t tell her just yet.
Not when she didn’t know how Calla felt about her.
She had to tell her soon, she just didn’t know how.
Calla’s day had started just as every day began, with her stumbling out of bed.
She was overjoyed, because on that day Lily would stay home and they would watch movies while baking peanut butter cookies.
Calla had the whole day planned out and she even had a surprise for her.
She had been practicing crocheting. She had made Lily a crochet lily flower and she planned on giving it to her after confessing her feelings to Lily.
It was all too perfect and it was about time for Calla to finally tell her how she felt.
She had been keeping it a secret since she didn’t want to lose Lily.
But it was finally time. She was ready.
