Lily was torn, she had just received a call from one of her friends.

Apparently, they had tickets to a concert featuring Lily’s favorite band “ The Melancholy Violets”.

She had to go since they were only going to be in her area once.

She also wanted to spend time with Calla, but she could just hang out with her when she got back from the concert.

Lily rushed to tell Calla about the sudden change of plans.

Calla began to get upset, she had just planned for a fun day where they watch Lily’s favorite movie and make her favorite cookies.

Lily was confused about why Calla was so upset, after all, they would spend time together when she got back.

Calla told her that she had a very special day planned and it wasn’t just like other times, but Lily stood her ground and explained that they could always do it another night.

Calla began crying “You never stay home and spend the day with me, you always go out with your other friends and when I call you, you act like you’re ashamed of me!”.

Lily didn’t understand why they couldn’t just push the plans to another night, but now she was getting a bit angry. “It isn’t my fault that you don’t have other friends, and maybe I am ashamed to be friends with you.” Lilly screamed, “I’m ashamed of how different and weird you are, If you had friends then you would understand!" "I don't feel the need to have other friends when I have you." Calla mumbled to herself."You would never understand how I feel, sometimes I wish you would've gone through with your plan to kill yourself.". Lily instantly regretted saying those things to Calla, but she didn't get to apologize before Calla ran to her room crying. There was nothing she could do now.

Lily ran out of the house and slammed the door shut.
She shouldn’t have stooped that low. She just couldn't tell Calla the truth about why she never introduced her to her friends. Lily was embarrassed that she couldn't tell Calla that the only reason she excluded her from her other friends was that she was an entirely different person around them. She felt pathetic.

She decided to go to the concert with her friends. After all, she could apologize when she got back.

Calla was uncontrollably sobbing while writing something on a piece of paper, she was shocked that Lily would bring up something so painful from her past.

She clutched the lily flower she had crocheted, before gently setting it on the note she had written for Lily.

She left them on the dining table for Lily to find whenever she got back.

Calla knew that she now had no one.

She was truly alone.
