(Jason raises his hand)

Ms. Darbus: Yes, Jason?

Jason: What's your favorite summer memory, Ms. Darbus?

Ms. Darbus: Ah, yes, the Ashland Shakespeare Festival of '88 leaps fondly to mind. In fact......

Chad: Summer, summer!

Taylor: Summer!

Sharpay: Summer!

(Bell rings)

As the class celebrates, Chad grabs Miss Darbus, spins her around, and gives her a kiss on the cheek. Chad bounces a ball to Troy and they grip hands as they stand up. Chad jumps on a desk and leads the number.

Chad and cheerleaders:

Sharpay signs yearbooks. Chad throws a ball backward and Ryan looks disgusted as it touches him. Troy high-fives a Wildcat. A student rolls out a chalkboard reading "School's Out!!!". As Ryan and Sharpay sturt out the classroom, Sharpay gives Troy a little wave, which he returns. Troy is left at his desk. He turns his attention to Ainyah, who takes his hand and they exit the classroom. Miss Darbus slams a pile of books on Jason's desk

Troy, Chad, Aniyah, and other students perform a synchronized basketball dance routine in the hall. They dribble and bounce the balls high and clap under their legs. Forming a single line behind Troy, they reach out with their basketballs.

In the cafeteria, they dance in sync as the marching band plays. At the end of the song, they hug each other and celebrate.

... in the hallways by Chad and Aniyah's lockers...

Troy: Dudes, when hoops camp is done, I've got to make bank. I keep hearing my parents talk about what college is going to cost.

Zeke: Yeah, my folks will match whatever I make this summer, but first I've got to get hired.

Chad: Me, too. I'm saving for a car...

(Taylor walks in front of Chad)

Chad: So I can take that hottie on a proper date. Unfortunately, this is my only job skill.

... At Sharpay Evans's locker...Gabriella walks to Sharpay

Sharpay: I understand you've moved every summer for the past five years. I'd hate to think that today is......good-bye?

Gabriella: No worries. My Mom promised I'm here until graduation next year.

Sharpay: Bless mom's little heart.

Gabriella: Sharpay, we got off to a rough start, but you came through. You helped me with the winter musical.

Sharpay: I did?

Gabriella: Those breathing exercises......

(Does exercise and accidentally pushes Sharpay Evans to locker)

Sharpay: Delighted to assist a fellow Wildcat.

In the Locker Hallways with Taylor, Aniyah, Martha, Gabriella, and Kelsi

Taylor: Gabriella and I have had five job interviews, but we keep getting beat out by college kids.

Martha: Same here. Guess I'm back in the babysitting business. Kelsi, what are you planning to do this summer?

Kelsi: Grow. Write Music. Grow!

(Everyone laughs)

..At Aniyah's locker with Troy Bolton..

Troy: Your summer activities consultant has arrived. Me! After basketball camp and Soccer camp, we'll see movies, download music, a little karaoke, and I'm teaching you a twisted flip on the skateboard.

Aniyah: I guess I have to ask Gabriella to patch me up afterward.

Troy: Hey, worse comes to worst, we just chill. As long as we spend the summer together, it's all good.

Aniyah: Promise?

Troy: Here's my promise......

(Troy puts the "T" necklace on Aniyah)

A/n: Aniyah is wearing Brown sleeve less shirt with a bit darker brown slack pants with white shoes, and she is in braids.
