Jack's P.O.V:

I left the Skype call and rushed out to my girlfriend, noticing her sitting there on her phone, not even looking up at me when I entered the room.

"Hey, so, there's this restaurant near-by I want to go to. Can you take me there?" Joanne asked, her eyes still stuck to the screen.

"How far is it..?"

"Roughly, eight blocks,"

"Eight blocks!? Baby, you know I don't have a car," I warned, shocked. 'Near-by' my arse!

"Oh, yeah," she sighed, "I forgot." Her beautiful brown eyes connected with mine, a pout on her lips. My heart melted a bit, so I grabbed a keyring with house keys on it and put them in my pocket.

"You coming?"

Joanne's eyes were filled with an emotion of pure disgust and mockery. A very ugly look for her, despite her usually natural beauty.

"Umm, Sean," she said, lifting her feet into the air from the couch. On her dainty feet were a pair of high-heels, brand new and expensive looking. "I don't want to get them destroyed, they're brand new."

My shoulders slumped and I groaned a bit. I gave her a quick peck on the cheek and opened the door, listening to her final calls. "Thank you, babe! Love you! Text you the GPS,"

I tried not to sound pissed off while I shut the door, but instead I slammed it.

'Ahh, shit, now she's gonna think I'm angry with her,' my thoughts bubbled. Honestly, I was, but I don't like showing her my angry side. My phone dinged so I took it out and surely enough, there were the details.

I got back to the my cozy little place I call home, shutting the door and putting the food down on the table. Funnily enough, it was Korean food; guess Joanne couldn't go too long without eating her nationality's food.

"Joanne?" I cooed, expecting her to come running from the lounge room. There was a short pause. "Joanne..?" I called again, a bit quieter. She came around the doorway, holding her phone and giggling.

"Sorry, babe. Someone just texted me something really funny," she mumbled, giggling again.

"It's fine. Food's here." I handed her a plastic fork and a take-away container filled with sweet 'n' sour pork. She took it and ran off, without so much as a thanks.

'That phone, since she got here, seems to be changing her actions entirely,' I thought. 'perhaps there's something going on..?'

I shrugged off my silly, rambling thinking, grabbing my own food and going to join her. She was watching Inception, so I sat down beside her and shoved some rice in my face-hole.

When we were laying in bed, I made a move on her. She just giggled, poked my nose a rolled over.

"Go to sleep, Sean."

Feeling rejected and slightly hurt, I snuggled into the sheets and put an arm around her. Like that, we fell asleep.
