9:54 AM

as she arrived at the outer banks, a place where animals weren't extinct and urbanisation hadn't taken over. she was in awe as she gazed upon the nostalgic town she once knew. however, many of the places she knew were replaced by kook buildings. she never liked the division of kooks and pogues but, that was how it was always going to be.

JJ

where are youu

sorry del
something came up
i'll be there rn

omg okay
it's freezing out here

while she waited for her long-lost friends, she took a moment to actually take in the evergreen nature and aromas that embraced her. she longingly gazed at the sea. she believed the sea had its own personality, glistening hand in hand with the sun or raging with fury. crashing waves mercilessly sweeping victims to their death. she loved how the ocean was home to sea creatures. just how outer banks was home to cordelia.

"boo!" jj exclaimed jumping out to scare delia.
"jj you scared me!" delia sighed as she was taken out of her trance. "that's one way to welcome your old best friend"

"eh, it's the pogue way"  he exclaimed as his smirk grew into a grin.
"cmere del" as he came towards del holding his arms out.

as she embraced him, all the memories of them together came running through. she sighed joyfully. knowing that she was finally with the people she loved and cherished. pulling away, del and jj couldn't believe that they were actually in the same place after 11 years.

"your actually, actually here" jj cheered. ecstatic that he finally reunited with his childhood best friend.

"i am jj, forever will be here" delia grinned gleefully. she knew that her best friend would always be there for her and that she didn't have to worry.

as they started to progress to the twinkie that jj borrowed off of john b. she stepped in, it was old and crippling. but she didnt mind, the twinkie was passed down from big john to our john b.

"so when we reuniting all the other pogues?" delia asked curiously, waiting for jj's answer.

"well i was thinking i'll drop you to your aunties so you can get settled in?"jj replied glancing over too del.

"sure, i'm tired anyway" she said as she locked eyes with jj for a split second before he turned away to the road.
jj took the next left and turned into delia's aunts neighbourhood.
"hey del.." jj murmured as he started to get more serious, turning off the engine

"yeah jj" del smiled nervously sensing something off.

"over 9 months ago, um, john b's dad..he..um"jj stuggled to say what he was aching to tell.

"jj what's wrong" del starting to get more serious as she asked "what's happens to john b's dad"

"he's missing" he spat it out, letting out a massive breath doing so.

"wait what?" "he's missing?" del said confused
"what happened to him?" million questions running through her mind. she knew big john, he wouldn't go missing for nothing. big john was the closest thing to a father cordelia had. her father didn't want a girl, so he drowned his sorrows in alcohol forgetting his own family.

"look, there's no time to explain everything plus i don't wanna worry you on your first day back" he replied but still didn't answer her questions."this is your aunties house" jj slightly smiling guiltily, knowing delia will worry for the whole night.
"thanks jj" delia frowned, thoughts still racing her mind.
