Totured Soul

He needed to get away, quickly. Hospitals were no place for someone like him.

He wanted to stay with Angel, sure, but he couldn't stand to hear him like that. As soon as he woke up, his senses were bombarded with noise of the tortured should around him. Oh god how horrid the sound wasm

Why did it have to do that, he was good at hiding the discomfort from Charlie, atleast, she didn't know why he had left, that was all that he needed. But couldn't they hear it aswell? When I demon is in a coma, Alastor can always hear their soul, and from far aswell, this is why he doesn't cross the territory where the hospital is, it's to unbearable. Obviously, he would assume the other could hear it too, well, he had never asked if they could but why couldn't they. It would be odd if only he could.

But among all of those souls, shouting in agony, their voices echoing through his head, none were louder than dear Angels were. They were... Unlike anything he had ever heard before, he had read about how some demons went through past trauma in comas, luckily hee was not one of them. But Angel, oh dear, he couldn't go back in there, not after that. Those screams were, traumatizing, who knows what in hell could've caused them...

Alastor snapped out of his thoughts, he needed to go somewhere far away, somewhere Charlie wouldn't go looking for him, he needed to be on his own. Plus, Charlie could text him on his new phone that he had recently gotten after Angel had...
No, no Angel, he needed to take this slowly, understand what was happening, to both his mind, and to the world around him. The thought of losing this spider demon just tore him apart. Why? That's what he wanted to know. But something told him the answer would take a little bit more time to show itself.

He knew where he would go, but great, yet again the demon creeped into his mind, coincidentally like a spider does, creeping onto you before you know it. Even on the terms of his chosen location, the park they went to when they hung out, went on their, date? Was that the right words for it. And now he was on the bench, thinking about what he could've done before leaving the hospital, maybe he could've checked on Angel, just for a moment?

And now he had his head in his hands, probably looking like quite the pathetic sight amongst demons right now even while the surrounding grass and flowers wilted around him and he felt the personified anger in his body threatening to lash out and cause destruction.

He did everything to steer away from the big problem, the fire. No need to think about that, no, no, what's done is done, Charlie can get another building, or he'll find one, there's nothing he can do about it now. Nothing he can do.

He stood up, he needed a walk, he stared down at the black nature around him, he hated to see what effect he had on nature, but he could fix it later, when he was feeling better. A trail of black followed him as he started walking down the grail path of the park, smoke radiation off of his body as if he was partly a shadow. This steered demons away from him quickly as he walked along, mother hiding their children. The braver Imps whispering as he walked by.

He took a deep breath, noticing the forming shadow of his old friend in his peripheral vision as it came together to match the Radio demons form. Alastor sighed,
"Long time no see, I take it you want to talk?" Alastor asked. While his shadowy friend appeared mostly at random, it would always show up when he was in distress, almost as an instant mechanism, usually to lure whatever was bothering Alastor put into the air to help Alastor express his feelings, knowing (as it was apart of him.) That otherwise those words would never come out.

Once the shadow had fully formed and stood curiously by Alastor's side, he sighed.
"Well, I think you understand how serious this truly is, isn't it? You show up when I suppress things do you not?" Alastor said, looking to his side at the shadow. It nodded, cocking it's head to one side waiting for Alastor to tell him his thoughts,
" Well I don't know. The point of suppression is that you hide it beneath the layers of your brain. I assume it has something to do with the fire." Alastor said matter-of factley, however being met with the shadow raising it's eyebrow at him.
"What? How do you know anything anyway. It's probably because of that. What else could it be about?" Alastor said in annoyance, ignoring the clear signs that he was lying and the knowledge that he shared a mind with this shadow.

The shadow walked over to a tree, and now it was Alastor's turn to raise an eyebrow at the shadow, what on earth was he up to. The shadow put his hand to the tree and seemed to take something off of it, before walking back towards Alastor. His hand in a fist. Alastor looked down at it, his face expressionless as he stared down. The shadow opened it hand to a reveal a time little spider dotted with red, one of the dots on the shake of a heart.

"What? No. This is not about what I think it is about, I am not acting like this because of Angel." The shadow rolled it's eyes, it liked Angel, this was something they had argued about before, but it knew Alastor had something for Angel, it wasn't quite sure what, but it did know this was definitely the cause of Alastor inner rage.

The shadow knew it wouldn't get Alastor to speak anymore of the matter, however he could still convince him to do the better thing. It grabbed Alastor's phone out of his pocket struggling to find away to turn it on, while he prided himself in being much smarter than Alastor (however much Alastor disagreed.) Both were the worst demons when it came to technology. But after a little bit of fumbling around with it, he turned it on. Turning the screen so that Alastor could see it.

Alastor looked at the screen, Angel had set the lock screen wallpaper to a picture them all together at a carnival, a couple of months after the hotel opened. Charlie held the camera, her arm around Vaggie, Angel was in the middle of the photo holding a large brown teddy and nifty in his arms. And Alastor pulled Husker into the photo, his large smile somehow even larger, Husk looking grumpy as usual, with a possible smirk on his face.

Alastor sighed once more,
" Really? You're trying to tell me I need to go back to... Them? I don't even care for the demons. You know it's all about entertainment." He said, believing this himself. The shadow pointed at the picture once more, than to the exit of the park, and Alastor shrugged,
"I trust you my friend. So I hope this is the right call. See you another time." Alastor said, deciding to give in. His shadow smiled, nodding and then disappeared as quickly as it came.

Alastor looked into the distance Imp city, walking out of the park. Let's hope this was the right decision.

(Sorry for the truly horrible chapter - in my eyes - everyone! Next one will be better.)
