A fairee tail

Chapter 2

In the morning she has another go to stop me

“But….”

“Bye Arianna” I cut in and shut the door behind me. Jake had obviously left already because he’s not in the house so I got to the den to start looking. As it turns out I don’t need to look far because he’s in a tree opposite the den. I just look for a second and see he’s not alone, he’s talking to someone; no doubt a girl.

“Yo Jake, down here, who’re you talking to eh?” I shout up, he looks around quickly and almost falls out of the tree, I hear a giggle and a hand reaches out to help him

“Nothing, I mean no one, I’m completely alone, just...  Err …looking at the view” he stammers. Of course being a younger sister, I don’t believe him and climb up to see who it is; when I get to the top I see a pretty girl talking to him.

“Cassie, go away” Jake growls at me

 But I ignore him and  turn towards the girl

"Hi I’m Cassie, Jakes little sister" I introduce myself

"Nice to meet you Cassie, I'm Aria but call me Air; Jake told me about you and your twon" she replies in a thick accent I just can’t place

"It's twin" corrects Jake

I heard a bird cry out and Aria looked round before she says

"Gotta go, come tomorrow Jake, and you Cassie"

“Ok" I say and jump down followed by Jake. "How did you meet her?" I ask

“Oh I was in the woods and I heard a noise so I came to see what it was and it was her" he explains quickly.

So we kept going to see her until one day Jake came and told me

“I'm going up today so stay here"

“Up where" I ask, confused

"With Air, she wants me to be one of them"

“One of who?"

"The Fairee" he says as if I'm stupid "Aria is a Fairee, haven't you noticed?"

"No. As a matter of fact I didn't. Anyway, aren't fairies really small?" I ask puzzled

"That's what I thought, those are just Fairy-tale creatures. Fairees are our size and don't have wings."

"I'm coming too" I state

"No"

"Yes"

"No" he shouts before leaving the house. Once he's out of sight I sneak out as well but when I get there I see him sitting in the tree waiting

"Jake, I'm coming up if you like it or not" I shout

When he turned around I thought he would be angry not scared but all the same I start the climb. When I got to the top of the tree opposite the den Jake looking up at the sky

"Hey Jake" I mumble before sitting on the branch next to him. He looks at me and I realise it's not Jake at all, this boy has brown hair flicked, not spiked up like Jake’ across forehead, hazel eyes and looks more my age.

"Who is Jake?" he asks in the same thick accent as Aria's

"Sorry I thought you were him" I say

"Don’t worry, I’m Noah and you are?" he asks

"Cassie; Cassie Morley" introduce myself

"Ah. Jake Black’s sister"

"Yeah. How do you know Jake?" I ask

"He went flying with my sister this morning and he said you might try to follow and if you did he asked me to take you up"

"Cool" I say  "Can we"

"Sure" and he whistled. A huge dragon came and Noah jumped on and helped me up, I grab onto him as we shoot through the air.

"How old are you “Noah asks

"14" I reply "What about you?"

"Almost 15"

There was an awkward silence and then

"Look out" Noah shouted and pulled me down as a dragon stopped next to us

“Ogla meka Faro catno hos gosb bovel" Noah gushed in a strange language

"Facatobro yhe?" says the rider

"Cassie, firesst gorf" replied Noah

"Sint, choe" the boy mumbles and flies off

'"Who was he, what did you say, how..." I stutter but was cut off by Noah

"He's a friend called Faro and he asked who you were and I said you were Cassie the fire girl and before you ask why fire girl is what your name “

"What do you mean?" I ask

"you’ll learn" was Noah’s reply before he dragged me higher into the clouds and it was then I saw the huge golden gates.

"Here we are, Bimbiana, if the elders accept you like they did your brother then I will teach you to be one of us. Aria is teaching Jake, he's a fast learner."

"What do you mean accept me?"

"You’ll see"

"I can't stay here forever, what about Arianna, mum and dad?” I ask

"They won’t notice, you come in the day and leave at night they will think you only left for an hour" he assures me "Come"

I hop down from the dragon which I find out is called Hugo, and follow Noah past the gates and into a great hall where there are a group of people talking.

"Qua ust Cassie Morley, firesst gorf, cat izg lech or hev oh pole ue olso?"Asks Noah

"Cassie do you want to be one of us?" asks one of the elders

"Yes please” I say

the elders huddle and whisper before saying something to Noah which made him smile.

"I can teach you Cassie." he beams and I smile too.

"We could start now" Noah suggests and I nod.

"You need to change" he says and takes my hand "My mother will help"

“Ok it will be nice to meet her" I say truthfully and Noah takes me to a small cottage outside.
