What is The Egnima?

"I am the Enigma."

The tall tigress eyed the other, examining her. "The Enigma, you say?" She repeated, stepping closer. "The only enigma here is why you hid and snuck around despite my open arms." She then huffed. She wasn't one to get annoyed but she did not appreciate getting snuck up on in her own home.

Jack let out a loud, short screech at the Enigma appearing fully. He hurriedly scrambled his way back and behind Inanna, holding out the staff ready to defend himself.

'Open arms' that phrase made her bare her teeth. She hissed like a raccoon "Open arms mean nothing to me! Reality is often disappointing. No one gives without taking. Nothing in life is free. Not even hospitality"  She chittered with her tongue and teeth. Her snake eyes shifted focus onto the boy again. Not once, did she blink as she stared at the human through her sunglasses?

Jack thought about what Enigma had said for a moment. She's had a point. Nothing came for free, especially kindness. His train of thought was stopped when he realized she was staring directly at him. He tightened his grip on the staff, a fearful expression painted on his face. He tried to ready himself to attack but it was clear he was too much of a coward to even get close to her.

"All I ask in return is your kindness. As long as you aren't hissing and growling at me I am not one to do the same back." In one swift motion, her ten tails seemed to morph into a singular one. It wasn't the size of all combined, instead, it was just the size of one like those in the mass visible moments earlier. She then focused on the Enigmas eyes. Why was she so fixated on the boy?

"That was pretty cool-" Jack whisper and yelled to Inanna after she shifted her tails into one.

"Thanks." She muttered back, her eyes still focused on the other woman.

"What kindness do I have to give? I have died five times. Betrayed, killed, abandoned. You name it I've seen or been through it." She put a hand on her shovel. Ready to attack if needed. "But if you truly mean your kindness. I will consider it. Trying."

"If I wanted to harm you I would have done it already, my hands are empty and I am far from reach of anything harmful." She said, calming her stance. "I have nothing to lose realistically by harming you, therefore waiting would be futile." She then added, hands now placed on her hips.

Jack looked back and forth between the two ladies. If they actually started to fight, he'd be completely useless. He could easily run out the door to safety but he didn't want to leave Inanna with some crazy scary lady"Yeah! She could easily win a fight against you so uh- YEAH!!" Jack tried his best to be supportive.

Inanna froze, her eyes going wide for a moment. She wasn't trying to pick a fight. She let out a slightly annoyed sigh. She wanted to speak to the boy, to tell him this, and went to address him by his name, which was where she realized she didn't know his name. She knew now wasn't the best moment to ask though.

"Don't humor me mortal. I could kill you in under 10 minutes. Without fighting." She narrowed her eyes, her teeth bared at him.

"He was not saying he would fight. He was saying theoretically I could despite my lack of interest in such a thing." She replied, taking a hand off her hip to somewhat cover Jack.

Jack pulled the staff closer to him as Enigma bared her teeth. He looked up at Inanna with a small smile seeing her somewhat keep his protected. He looked back at Enigma and furrowed his brow.
