Chapter 5: what the hell

BEN pov:

I woke up with a tired groan rubbing the crust out of my eyes. I opened them just to be met with a pale white chest in front of me, rising and falling with calming breath. last night was amazing...   was all I could think of as I got out of the bed, or at least, trying to. I feel to the floor after two seconds of standing, the pain in my back unbearable. My knees hit the wooden floor's hard, instantly turning my peach pale knees red and splotchy. I ended up crawling to the other side of my room, where all i had on my bed was a red bag with some extra controller's. As I slowly get on my bed, I hear chuckling behind me. Fuck.. well I guess I'm just going to die... again. As I look behind me, I can see Jeff's lidless eyes staring at me struggling. I can feel my face heating up in embarrassment at my current situation, especially since he's the reason I can barley walk.

 I gave a small "hmph" and pout while he just keeps on starring and laughing. "good morning BENNY BOY" he says to me as I go to the T.V. "What your'e ignoring me now? You know we have to share this room right?" I continue to stay silent facing away from him, so he can't see my red face. I go in the T.V., trying to get to the living room so I could eat something. I turn around briefly, just to see Jeff staring at the T.V. in awe. 

I chuckled at his dumbfound face and myself soon emerging from the living room T.V. I began to try walking, but ended up falling on my face, so I guess I'll just float around. As I reach the kitchen I can hear E.J talking to a more monotone voice. I walk in to see him talking to a guy, probably around his mid-twenties, with green eyes and  black hair that almost reached his waist. He was wearing a black mask over his mouth, black ripped jeans, a dark grey dress shirt, a black waistcoat, and black leather combat boots. As I stared at him in slight awe, E.J  said  "morning BEN, this is Nathan". "Good morning Nathan" I reply as I stared at him. "Hey pipsqueak, your new around here right?". He asked me, taking a step closer to me. "Yes, why do you ask?". Nathan chuckled, replying slowly, "Be careful around here kid, someone want's you gone". I'm frozen in shock at what I just heard, while Nathan walks away, a handful of jolly ranchers in his hand. "you ok, BEN?" E.J asks while shaking my shoulder. I snap back to reality, looking at E.J with the calmest face i could have in that moment. "yeah, why do you ask?". He just stares at me, his head slightly leaning to the right, almost as a concerned gesture. "Whatever you say BEN." he responds as he hands me a kidney, placing it in my hand.

 As he walks out the room he says "Don't worry about what Nathan says, he's just trying to help.". I'm confused as I just float there, my only thought being  Great, I just got here and I've already made enemies.  As I begin to chew I remember that I still haven't changed out of my pajamas. I float to the living room, half a kidney in my hand, where I see Sally trying to turn the T.V. on, and failing. "morning Sally, how are you?" I ask, shoving the rest of the kidney in my mouth. "I'm fine Mr.BEN, but the T.V. won't turn on!". I chuckle at her frustration while she crosses her arms and slightly pouts, slouching on the couch. 

"how about I try to fix it, ok Sally?" I asked her while smiling to the best of my ability. "You really would fix it!?" she asked excitedly, changing from grumpy to happy in a matter of mere seconds. I nod at her, look at the screen, and check behind the T.V. to check for any loose cables. I unplug it, wait for ten seconds, then plug it back in. when I finished she pressed the power button, and it worked, her face lighting up with joy like lights on Christmas. 

I hear someone chuckling and look up at the stairs to see Jeff coming down them, wearing his white hoodie, black jeans, and black high top converse. I really cant catch a break can I? I float as fast as possible towards the T.V. just to feel a tug on my arm, that didn't allow me to enter the screen. "Come on, tell me why your ignoring me? It's getting annoying you know". I stare at Jeff, and feel the tears forming up. I shouldn't have been so stupid! Now I'm in this ridiculous mess! All I can do is stare, a tear of blood slowly falling down my cheek. "Why are you crying?" Jeff responds to me in a confused tone. I don't want to talk to him about it, its my problem to deal with whatever I'm feeling. Last night was a one night stand, nothing more, nothing less. I would rather stay up playing games than be confronted about how I feel. I know Jeff doesn't like me, and last night was just a dare. It still hurts though.... 

I yank my arm away from him, and Jump into the screen, disappearing in the bright colors, not looking back. I move as quickly as possible to escape in to Jeff and I's shared room, go under my blankets and sheets, grabbing my Nintendo switch in the process. I hide and bury myself under the blankets in the darkness, never wanting to leave. I stayed there for the rest of the day, and Jeff never came back to chase me, only returning around 1 AM, where he flopped on his bed, and in a matter of mere seconds fell asleep. The only sound in the room was his light snoring, and small buzzing coming from my game.

hello people! I am so sorry that I forgot about this story, I truly did not mean to leave it on a cliffhanger for so long. I am going to try to update as fast as possible since my summer break is in 2 weeks! I will do my best to make this a nice story, if I have it in me... as always your comments are always appreciated and I will see you on the next chapter, BYE!!
