"Radella." I looked over and saw Eros walking towards me. I was enjoying the beach by myself before I headed back to my room. I wasn't expecting to see him, but I'm glad I did. I stopped and waited for him until he was in front of me. "Can we talk?"

My brows shot up. Napansin ko ang masiglang mood ni Eros. Something good might've happened. It's nice to finally see him like this.

"What about?" I asked. I had a hunch, but I pretended that I had no idea about what he wanted to say.

Mukhang nag-iisip pa siya kung paano niya sisimulan ang sasabihin kaya naman I waited na lang patiently para pahirapan siyang mag-isip. Ganti ko man lang dahil I know na masasaktan ako kung ano man 'yun.

"Remember when we said we'll get married if we haven't found someone we wanted to share the rest of our lives with?" I pursed my lips. "I think I found mine."

Gano'n siya kasigurado sa Psyche na 'yon?

I took a deep breath. I made an effort to smile at him before I said, "Well, I'm glad you did, Eros."

He smiled at me and nodded his head. "I'm sure you'll find yours, Rad. You're a great woman." This time, I smiled genuinely as I felt how sincere his words were.

"Thanks."

We were both silently walking by the beach just listening to the sound of the waves and the laughter of the people enjoying the bonfire not far away from us. I wonder how it feels to have what they call a barkada. It must be nice to have a bunch of friends na nakakakulitan at asaran mo.

"Aren't you going to the bonfire party?" My thoughts were interrupted by Eros who's now curiously staring at me. I almost cringed at his question. Hindi ba niya napapansin na ayaw sa akin ng mga tao doon? I immediately shook my head to say 'no' but he rolled his eyes and pulled me towards the party.

Nakita ko nanaman ang masasamang tingin ng iba. Lalo na nang dumating ang mga friends ni Psyche na lumapit pa for confrontation. Para namang I really wanted to be here! Hinila lang kaya ako ni Eros!

"I'll go talk to her," he told me as he eyed Psyche. I nodded at Eros and gave him an encouraging smile

Tumayo na ako at aalis na sana nang makita ko silang nag-uusap pero kumunot ang noo ko nang makita na biglang umalis si Psyche and Eros was left there standing and confused.

Buong gabi napansin ko na iniiwasan niya si Eros. Ano nanaman kaya ang problema niya at masiyado siyang pabebe? Kung ayaw niya kay Eros edi mabuti, I can just have him and marry him... I sighed. Seriously, nakakairita na siya, ah. Who does she think she is to reject someone as good as Eros?

I walked towards the pabebe girl when Eros wasn't around and told her that Eros and I were engaged. She looked shocked, but whatever, that should make her nervous.

"Drinking your sorrows away?" Tumingala ako upang tingnan kung sino ang may lakas ng loob na kausapin ako. Wow, if it isn't Mr. Nice guy, the class mayor, Ryder Romualdez, with a red plastic cup in his hand smiling down at me. Inirapan ko lang siya at tumingin ulit sa apoy na na sa harapan ko. "Can I sit beside you?"

Tumaas ang isang kilay ko dahil hindi naman ako sumagot ng oo pero umupo na siya. Wala lang rin yatang ibang makulit dahil nakakulong ngayon si Eros at Psyche sa isang kwarto. We were both silent as we stared at the fire in front of us.

"You can also see that Psyche and Attorney Montagne obviously like each other, right?" he said, breaking the silence between us. Hindi ako nagsalita. Bakit ba ako kinakausap nito? Ang feeling close naman. "Na-friendzone ka rin pala." Natatawang sabi niya.
