My eyes snap open as my body lurches forward. Coughing up my lungs. My thoughts were scrambled and my body ached. The sort of ache you would get jumping off a cliff and hitting water.

Thoughts recollect. I did jump off a cliff and hit water. I groan loudly and painfully. Holding myself up with the palms of my hands on the dry floor. Looking around confused.

The great Mother saved me.

But before I can thank her my mind once again stresses. Miles. Where is Miles. I snap my head, side to side, sharply in search of the demon.

Hes crouched on the floor beside me. A relieved look on his face. "Thank Christ, your awake." He exhales heavily. Helping me to my feet. My legs are shaky and painful. But after I strech them they relieve.

"You'll be sore for the next few days." He notes, releasing my arms to let me balance. I search my body for anything I've lost. Feeling no bow around my torso and no arrows in my pouch. "Yeah, I only managed to get this." Miles holds out my blade. I sigh, moderately relieved we weren't lost without anything.

We're lost.

I turn my body in a circle as I scan the area. All unfamiliar teritory. I take the blade from Miles, sheathing it across my hip. "We should get going, don't want to lose daylight." He remarks, looking at the sky. I swallow hard, rubbing my forearms firmly. "I don't know where we are Miles." He turns to me and blinks. Confusion and frustration seeping into his eyes.

With a breathy grunt he looks around at the forest. "Then choose a direction." He suggests. I slowly turn. Choosing a path through the trees and rivers.

We head off. Silently walking through the forest. It wasn't long before something looked familiar. Thankfully. I noted it to Miles, he looked relieved. But furrowed his eyebrows in confusion when he saw the grim look on my face. "Something wrong?" He asks, catching up to walk beside me.

"It is close to night, there is a nearby clan that can hopefully help us." I state, pointing out the sun dipping slowly. It had already become cold and rain started patting the leaves. Miles only shrugs, not realising that him being a demon could be the fate of him.

It was late evening when we made it too the clans territory. I told Miles not to speak unless he has too. Telling him not to use any harsh nor violent words. He only nods shortly. "This isn't our home, we are guests if they accept us. But no matter what, we treat them with respect."

The Tawkami clan are a gentle clan, looking after the balance and the nature of Eywa. We barely stepped through the village when we were stared at. I told them we meant no harm. But as they saw Miles' hands, they tackled him. With a loud curse Miles hit the floor. Having a Na'vi holding his queue aswell as a knife too it.

I interviened quickly. Telling the Na'vi to take us too the Olo'eyktan and Tshahik. They guided us towards the hut on the highest point of their village. Keeping Miles' in an unbearable situation with his queue and kept me close. Staring me up and down.

Most of the clan had exited their huts to see what the comotion was about. Olo'eyktan and Tsahik weren't long to follow. Being pulled out of their doings to see what what wanted of them.

"Olo'eyktan! We have intruders." One of the Na'vis says in mother tongue. He points at Miles. "One is in a demons body." He states, making others around gasp, moving his hand to me. Only for his gaze to soften. "And the other-" He starts, but is swiftly interupted. "Is Ray'ala."

I put my hand too my forehead and gesture forward with a gentle smile. Tsahik, Loa'i. I knew her when I was a child. She has the most gorgous, piercing yellow eyes I've ever seen.

She sweeps forward, repeating the gesture, before wrapping her arms around my torso. I hug her softly.

Once we've released she gazes coldly at Miles. "Is he with you?" She asks carefully. I nod shortly. She only murmurs under her breath and waves her hand at the na'vi behind him. Allowing Miles to be released and letting him straighten. "Why are you here, Ray'ala?" Loa'i asks, turning towards me once again. I inhale before answering.

"We need somewhere safe to stay for tonight. I beg of your help, to be your guest." She closes her eyes before looking over at Olo'eyktan, Kavay. He gives me a soft look before hardening Miles with a gaze. Loa'i and Kavay lock eyes. With soft and short movements of the ears and eyelids they settle on an agreement.

Tsahik looks at me. "Stay here for as long as you wish, as long as you make no disagreements nor trouble." I smile in relief, she smiles back. "May Eywa thank you for your generosity Olo'eyktan and Tshahik." I praise gratefully. "What did she say?" Miles asks, shuffling to my side. Giving the na'vi looking at me softly a firm look.

I pat his shoulder. "We may stay for now. As long as we make no disagreements or trouble." He nods shortly. Grinning at Tshahik, she repays him with a grim looks. Her eyes carefully looking him over, slightly uncomfortable. "I will keep control of him, do not worry." I chuckle calmly.

"May that calm our minds." Olo'eyktan states, stepping up beside Tsahik, pressing one hand around his waist protectively. "People! We treat these as our guests, may you treat them as one of our own." Loa'i calls out. The people around us nod in agreement and respect. "Nie'le, take them too the spare huts."

My eyes widen, thats why he looked so familiar. He recognised me before I recognised him. I look his way, it is him!

We were childhood bestfriends. We were stuck together like glue and string. He grins at me, noticing I've realised who he is.

With a sharp motion he indicates for us to follow him. Miles gets dirty looks from others, whilst I just get bewildered stares. Guessing its because of the body Eywa gave me. Nie'le sticks beside me as we talk in mother tongue. Miles looks annoyed, maybe because he doesn't know what we're saying or that hes been left behind.

After a few minutes Nei'le stops by one of the many huts. Motions over it before placing his hand over his shoulder. "We should talk soon." He remarks, making me grin at him. "We should, soon. Goodnight Nei'le." I reply, he smiles before setting off back the other way.

Miles has a sour look on his face as I push past the beads and string for the door. He follows me in. There is already a lamp lit above our heads and the whole place is bathed in a beauty glow. "Whats that looks for?" I ask, turning my head to him.

"Who's he?" He demands, knocking his head to one side to motion about Nei'le. I chuckle. "That is Nei'le, he is old friend of mine." I reply, he scowls at my smile. "What is it?" He only huffs in return. Moving around the hut too the bedroom.

With a soft shiver from the cold I follow him. Only to find one large hammock. I blink. "You should take that, I'll find somewhere else." Miles mutters, turning and stepping past me. I don't reply, only turn my hand fast enough to grip his wrist. His whole body snaps to me.

Slowly I drag him towards the hammock. Pushing him and following afterwards. "You will freeze to death. No point to taking you to your home if you are dead." I state, taking one side of the curved hammock. Miles only exhales softly. I turn my body away from him, pressing my back too his chest and feeling his body heat.

My hand carefully tugs at the corner of the hammock, it curls around us and closes us in. Trapping the heat in and keeping the cold out. Miles cautiously places one hand over my hip to get comfortable whilst his chest presses further against my back to get closer.

I close my eyes, ears flicking at the sound of the rain hitting the hut roof. I could tell Miles ears were moving aswell, I could hear them batting his head every few seconds.

Smiling softly before falling into a deep slumber.
