Avatar : The Suns Gaze.

' ' Chapter 1 : Pains Reach. ' '

He never knew how it happened, How it was possible, but he knew one thing. The avatar is needed more than ever.

Team avatar was travelling the fire nation and had taken residence in a cave. When Toph picked up something.

"Uhhhh, Guys?" Toph said. "Yeah, Toph?" Sokka said, Momo on his head, "I hear screaming outside.. and alot of running." Toph said even she was a little uneasy. "Fire nation soldiers?" Katara asked. "No, there's no marching."

Zuko got up, "Whatever's happening out there, my firebendings stronger then usual." "The comet came early?" katara asked. "No, im not THAT Powerful."
"Aang?" Katara turned, Aang still asleep and having a nightmare.

Aang saw the sun turn red, people melt and fuse, screaming, pain, and a fate worse then death. He awoke, terrified. "Aang! Whats wrong?" Katara ran over

"The sun.. Somethings happening with the sun... APPA!" Aang yelled, running toward the entrance of the cave, but stopping before the light touched him.
"Appa...?" Aang was horrified. Appa turned, the sky bisons flesh mixed and fused together, melting and reforming. A slimy tendril came from its body and slithered toward Aang, trying to bring him into the light. "Come here twinkle-toes!" Toph yelled, as she made a rock fly toward aang but reform before it hit and wrapped around him, pullin him back. As toph then blocked the entrance.

"Whats going on..?"  Aang said, crying. "Some kind of fire nation superweapon?" Sokka asked Zuko, trying to ignore what happened to Appa. "No, they've never been able to do anything close to this."

"Well, from what i can tell. The suns turned evil and we're all whining like a bunch of Lily Livers!" Toph yelled. "We only have so much time before whatever happened to Appa gets through that rock wall!" Toph continued. "So i vote we get outta here before whatever happened to Them happens to us!"
"But... Appa.." Aang said, sad. Toph sighed. "Look, Twinkle-Toes, Appa is gone, and whatever's left is breaking through the rock." Toph responded, turning to the wall that melted Appa was becoming a battering ram towards. As pieces of flesh fell through the cracks and slithered toward them.

Aang wiped away a tear, as Toph earth bent to get them deeper underground.as she blocked the entrance behind them. Zuko made a flame for better vision. Aang looked down, *What happened to Appa? Why cant i just ask Roku or Kyoshi or... Kuruk or... Yangchen..* he wondered, a tear went down his cheek as he thought of Appa. He looked to his side, he could already tell that Sokka and Katara were wondering what happened to Gran-Gran or Hakoda.

Even Toph was a little sad. Maybe what happened to her parents? As Ty Lee would put it, The Aura was pretty depressing.

Azula sat by Ozai, a group of his top generals pondered and bickered. "We've lost half our forces from the Sun, and earth benders half the best form of underground tunnel making, which puts us at a massive disadvantage!" A elderly yet respected general spoke. "Which is why we invade Omashu! Its where many earthbenders retreated too after its king saved it!" A different, younger general said. "Oh please, General Lee, we have more to worry about then the earth kingdom! The Sun is melting people for Agni's Sake!"

As the two generals yelled and bickered a voice came from the throne "Enough!' He said. The FireLord commanded. "Before we do anything i suggest we properly equip our soldiers with armor to resist the sun's new affects. Azula, use your Dai Lee agents to have them earthbend this equipment to our soldiers." The Fire Lord commanded.

" Yes, Father." Azula said. Smirking at the Young General, who gave her a death glare. She was amused.

Aang sighed, the world was burning, Appa was likely dead, the entire team was sad, and here he was hiding underground.

The team heard Omashu was Regained and now the home for what remains of the resistance, aside from the cities at the poles but those werent likely in the best condition after this.

"I have good news, and bad news." Toph said. "Good news?" Sokka asked. "We'll arrive at Omashu in 2 weeks." Toph replied. "That's the good news!?" Katara asked. "Yep, Bad news, we reached the ocean." Toph said, the earthwall leaking.

"Me and Aang can waterbend that long!" Katara said. "What if.. we don't have too?" Zuko  spoke. "What do you mean?" Aang asked. "There should be a fire nation dock nearby, if the fire nation survived whatever happened with the son i doubt they reclaimed the Docks yet." Zuko elaborated. "Brilliant!" Sokka yelled. "Uh, forgetting something Sword for brains? WE CAN'T GO OUTSIDE!" Toph yelled.

"No, we cant go in the sun. So we wait for it to get dark out!" Sokka responded. "Not a bad idea, Sokka." Katara said.  "So its settled?" Zuko said. "Yep." Everybody else said in unison. 
As night struck, The team looked above, everyone was horrified. A giant blob of flesh roamed the area. Calling people to join it. "What is that?" Katara asked. "Dont know, but lets stay away from it." Sokka said.

Aang sensed the suffering within this creature, doing so made him think about Appa, was this what Appa is going through?

The team attempted to sneak by it, but failed. The blob turned, a unholy groan came from it, suddenly melting arms extended from its body. the bones of those apart of it reformed to extend the arms.
Zuko sent a blast of flame, but the creature wasnt affected as it tried to grab Zuko. As Aang ran in front of Zuko, making a earth wall. And then jumping above, sending a air blast. The creature was cut, but regenerated. Aang then grabbed water, still nothing, earth, nothing. What was this thing?

"Get down!" Toph said, as she formed  a massive earth wall around the creature, as she then grabbed metal from one ship, throwing it at the creature. Cutting the blob in half. As she then trapped what remains underground. "Hurry!" Toph yelled.  Team avatar quickly ran, the blob dug itself out of the earth. Ripping the earthwall apart.

They climbed on the ship. As Katara waterbent, blasting the creature back with a powerful wave. Only slowing it down enough to escape. As the ship moved out of the dock.
