I always thought that those breathing techniques people talked about were stupid. Why would something like that work? And yet, the way Fallon looked at me, I figured I'd give it a try.

I glanced at the crowd. "Don't look at them. Close your eyes." Fallon mumbled beside me. I glanced nervously at him. "How do you know this will work?" I asked him. "Works for me. Might not, but what have you got to lose if you try?" I thought about this for a moment. "I guess so."

I closed my eyes and breathed in, taking air into my lungs, my chest tensing up. I released, exhaling. Almost immediately, felt an immense tension release from my chest. I never even knew it was there. I opened my eyes once more, taking in my surroundings from a new perspective. "Better?" Fallon asked, a hope in his voice. It was like he actually cared. Maybe he did. I guess I'll have to find out.

I looked down. "Yeah, actually. I feel a lot better. Thank you." I smiled shyly. "I'm just glad that you're feeling better. No need to thank me." He nodded. A familiar lanky silhouette appeared in the entrance to the lobby. Aubrey had her arms on her waist, a smirk across her face. She likey knew that most of the students were nervous about this next test. Luckly for me, science is one of my strong suits.

"Listen up everyone! I know there have been a lot of rumours about this next test, but that all gets cleared up today. If you have expectations, let them go. Don't put your money on rumours, unless of course you like gambling, then it beats me. I don't want to hear anyone crying to me if this didn't turn out the way they thought. Not my fault you believe everything you hear." She rolled her eyes.

I smiled. "You know what? I'm starting to like her." Fallon looked at me curiously. "Really now? I mean, yeah, she knows her stuff. I guess it's cool." He shrugged. "I just think her sharp personality is kinda cool. She's not mad, she just knows where she stands." "Huh, I guess if you see it that way, yeah." Fallon smiled. "Though, she'd be a cool grandma." I snickered. He laughed next to me. "She does look like she could be someone's grandma."

"With that covered, is anyone here familiar with Kahoot?" Aubrey asked. The crowd cheered a bit. "Great. This wont be exactly like Kahoot, in the sense that were doing this live. Yeah, just Kahoot, but live. We don't want to bother with technical problems." She waved her hand. I chuckled. "I actually used to be scared of her." Fallon smirked. "I think she's intimidated by me." "Yeah, I noticed that the day we were getting sorted into groups." I noted.

"Let's get you guys in your places, shall we? If everyone will please make their way to the gym, we should have everything prepared by now." Aubrey glanced at her watch. As told, we all began making our way out to the gym. I don't think any of us really knew where we were going, other than a couple of people at the front of the mob. We all followed eatch other, shuffling though the halls. Eventually I noticed a large door labeled 'Gymnasium'. As I walked into the room, I took a good look around, familiarizing myself with the surroundings. It calmed me a bit to know the details of the space I was in. It seemed unusually large, although that could be because I've only seen a handful of school gyms in my life. Mainly because of sports, but my old school's gym seemed particularly petite.

The gym was filled with tables, eatch with a button, and two seats. Everyone started naturally filling up the tables, so Fallon and I followed suit. Soon after everyone was seated, Aubrey and a few other people, who I assumed to be teachers, had gathered in the middle of the gym. All of the tables made a large circle, leaving a single lone table in the middle. On the main wall, a large logo sat with the schools name, Jasper Academy, abreveated to simply J.A., and what had to be their mascot in the middle. It was a bird, a Kingfisher I believe, painted blue, white and brown with a golden crown atop it's head. Fitting for the birds name. It's wings were outstretched, a fierce expression on it's face. I smiled. At least they have a good mascot. I mean, of course they do. They're rich.
