I quickly rush up to my apartment door, fumbling for my keys in my pocket. I can't find them, did I remember to grab them before I left? I must look so stupid right now, standing outside in the rain like this.

"You okay George?" I heard Clay call out through the now open passenger window. I look back at him and nervously smile.

"Yeah, I'm good. I just can't find my keys." I shout back at him, rummaging through my sweatpants pocket.

"You know if you can't find them you can always come back with-"

"I found them!" I say, cutting him off and holding my keys up in the air. I can hear his laugh through the downpour of rain.

"Okay well then get inside now and quit standing in the rain! I'll see you tomorrow!" Clay shouts at me. I smile and wave at him.

"See you tomorrow Clay!" I shout back as I see his window roll up.

I quickly open the door and turn around to see his car still sitting in the parking lot. I smile at him one more time and wave, even though I can't see him.

I quickly turn and get into the building, closing the door. I can see car lights moving out of the parking lot through the glass door and windows in the entrance of the complex.

I get up the stairs to my apartment and shut the door, quickly running into my bathroom and grabbing a towel, drying my hair.

I throw it off to the side of my bathroom floor and quickly change into a different pair of black sweatpants and a gray crew neck.

The adrenaline of seeing Clay had warn off at this point, and my body felt ten times more heavy, having to drag it around my apartment to get ready for bed.

I walk to the bathroom and start brushing my teeth. I spit out my toothpaste and look up in the mirror at my reflection. My dark brown hair, still ruffled from the towel. I stare at myself for a minute, in slight disbelief of the events that happened not even an hour ago. I got to see my childhood best friend again. I got to see Clay again!

I walk out of my bathroom and make my way over to my bed, ready to pass out from the day. I plug my phone in and place it on my nightstand as it glows and shows my Lock Screen.

"1:02." I say out loud, keeping a mental note of it for myself. Almost on cue, as flop myself onto my bed, I hear a ping from my computer.

I groan into the sheets and heave myself off the bed, curious at what someone could want so late at night.

I open up Discord and look at my notifications, it was a friend request.

"Dream?" I wonder to myself aloud. I click onto the accept button and wait a second, staring at the screen. Not two seconds later, I get a message from the person.

Dream:
You weren't supposed to accept that until morning

I look at the message, confused on what this person was talk about.

GeorgeNotFound:
What? Who are you?

I can see the little chat bubble, telling me they were typing pop up for a second before a text shows up.

Dream:
That's right, I forgot to tell you my gamer tag. It's me, Clay. I go by Dream online.

I sigh in relief, grateful it was him, and not some creep.

GeorgeNotFound:
You could have said that then! You scared me, I thought you were some creep

Dream:
I take great offense to that. I can't believe you thought I was a creep!
