Katsuki snuck into Shoto's room before the head maid usually woke him up. The 13-year old snickered seeing his best friend fast asleep with his hair messily splayed out across the red silk pillow he slept on. Crimson eyes darted to the nightstand, seeing it devoid of any decorations save for two picture frames. One displaying the prince and the eldest son of Endeavor, Touya, and the other showing the prince and Bakugo himself.
'Cute.' He thought, remembering the day that photo was taken. While the picture of the two princes was acquired in a formal setting, the one with the two friends was silly and playful. They were at the beach, one of the rare occasions in which King Enji had allowed them to do so. They were both laughing, Katsuki had an arm roughly slung over the other's right shoulder, Shoto's right hand went up to grasp the blond's dangling fingers. Photos were rarely accessible, even for the king, so these were precious artifacts.
Hearing the sounds of heeled footsteps, Bakugo silently cursed himself, having gotten sidetracked. He couldn't leave, she'd definitely see him and he wasn't allowed in this room to begin with. Acting quickly, he hid behind the other side of Shoto's bed making sure all of his spiky ash blond hair was hidden from view.
The door opened and the maid entered, opening the curtains as she always did.
"Good morning Prince Shoto, it is time to greet the day." She spoke loud enough to rouse the young boy.
"Mmm..." He groaned, stretching his hands up and out over his head. The maid set out some clothes for him to wear before exiting the room. Todoroki's nose scrunched up in disgust seeing the outfit chosen.
He felt like gouging his eyes out the longer he stared at it. With a heavy sigh he lifted himself out of bed and ventured towards the godforsaken outfit. Before a callused hand grabbed him by the shoulder.
"You're not wearing that." Bakugo's gruff voice spoke, face showing equal distaste for the garments.
"Kat. You scared me." Though with how drowsy he was, you would think that statement was entirely sarcastic. The older chuckled and pushed past his best friend as he examined the clothes stored away in the large armoire.
"Christ they've really drowned you in red and gold haven't they?" He commented, before his vermillion eyes landed on one of the few articles of clothing that were neither red nor gold.
"Here, try this." He tossed it over to a patient Shoto.
