"So..how'd you two meet?"
They were back from eating and they were seated in the living room. Hua had her eyes on Idyllia as she waited for her to speak. "Well there's two ways we met. We met at school— we were both new there and then a bit later he was my little sister's babysitter at one point." Idyllia spoke softly, scared in speaking in her natural tone as Renjun gave her a glance.
"That's so cute!" Jing said, causing Renjun to shake his head. Hua only sat quietly. "I know right!" Idyllia then smiled. "You have sisters? How many?" Jing asked her since Hua was keeping quiet. Renjun only sat back and watching his girlfriend and dad get along.
"I have one older sister and two younger twin sisters! The oldest is named Liana, the twins are called Audrey and Alaina." Idyllia said, happy to speak about her family. "Your dad must've been so miserable having an all girl home." Hua said, a small laugh emitting from her lips as Idyllia's smiled flattened.
"No he wasn't. He's truly a girl dad, he grew up with brothers so having daughters was a new experience for him." Idyllia turned towards Hua as Jing nodded his head. "If anything he was probably happy!" Jing said with a laugh.
"Are you trying to tell me something Dad.." Renjun mumbled, giving his father a fake glare while Jing shook his head. "It's not what it seems!"
At then, the doorbell rang to which Hua quickly got up from the couch with wide smile on her face. It was the first after a few hours that Idyllia has seen his mother smile ever since they arrived. His grandpa opened the door, immediately welcoming to who was there as Idyllia leaned to the side to see who it was.
"Liena! I'm so glad you made it!"
"You called me to invite me for dinner! Of course I came!"
Renjun then watched as Idyllia's shoulders dropped, he was going to say something to her, but she excused herself to the bathroom. Hua kept her eyes on the back of the girl before looking at Liena.
"Renjun! Your real girlfriend is here!" Hua said, bringing Liena to the living room as she met eyes with Renjun. "Mom, now is not the time—" he started to say. "Jun! You grew taller!" Liena said, smiling as she walked closer to him.
