Steve's perspective
Steve woke up with a pounding headache. After regaining his senses, and opening his eyes, he remembered everything. The boy next to him was curled up in his arms, sound asleep. He looked very different when he slept, more peaceful, and much happier. Steve smiled while staring down at him. He liked how different Eddie was. How unlike himself, Eddie was able to be so confident being a total outcast. He thought it was funny that someone an entire town was afraid of for a week straight couldn't even watch the coundering. He was so cute. Wait....what? Steve became aware of the warm, happy feeling he just had moments ago staring at Eddie. It felt like when he first met Nancy. He was so confused. His entire life he's liked girls, why all of a sudden was he falling for Eddie. Still, as scared an confused as he was, Steve liked this new feeling. He slowly, and carefuly got out of bed trying not to wake Eddie. Then he went downstairs to make breakfast. What to make for breakfast? That was the question. What would Eddie like. Then Steve remembered something Eddie had said to him last night. He remembered Eddie had said something about his mom making him cinnamon toast for breakfast every morning. Steve searched the cabnients, quietly muttering to himself. "lets see, toast, butter, and.....cinnamon shaker!" He popped the toast into the toaster, and started on breakfast. He hoped that cinnamon toast tasted good.
A few minutes later just before Steve was about to put some cinnamon on the toast, Eddie walked downstairs. "Morning sleeping beuty." Steve grinned up at Eddie. "Oh, thanks for making break-is that?" "Yeah, you told me your mom made you cinnamon toast for breakfast every morning remember?" Eddie looked like he was gonna cry. "Aw, thanks stevie." "Are you ok?" "uh, yeah, I'm great, but can you point me in the direction of your bathroom agian? I keep getting lost in your huge manshion." Eddie smiled up at him. "Steve showed him to the bathroom, and finished making breakfat, he hadn't thought about if this would upset Eddie. He hadn't talked much about his mother, Steve hadn't asked much. Whatever happened must not've been good, cause he lives with his uncle now.
They ate breakfast, and watched a few morning cartoons, but then Steve checked the time. "Fuck!" "What is it" Work, I'm gonna be late for work. I completely forgot I had it today." Steve ran upstairs to throw his uniform on, then back downstairs to put on his shoes. "Do you need a ride?" Steve looked over to Eddie who didn't have his van with him. "uh, yeah, can I just come to the video store with you, and Robin?" "Uh, sure, but hurry up and get your shoes we're gonna be late." The boys got ready, jumped in the car, and off they went. When they finally arrived at the video store Robin had already set up. "You're late dingus!" She called from the back. "Sorry, we got busy, and totally lost track of time." "We?" Robin turned aroud to see none other than Eddie the freak Munson. "Uh, hey Eddie.." "Hey Robbs" "and to what do I owe this pleasure" "Dingus, and I were hanging out and he decided to come into work toady" Steve rolled his eye at the stupid nickname Robin had given him. "I'm glad to see the two of you getting along, anyway I need dingus over here to start putting back some movies, you can help if you want." "Sure, it's the least I could do after you guys saved my ass yesterday. I never go to thank you for that." "No problem" "Cool let's get to work then." The kids spent all afternoon organizing movies, and hanging out. Steve tried to work, but he could not stop staring at Eddie. No one had noticed yet, and he was glad, but he needed to try harder. Just then some very familiar, very annoying faces walked into the store. Steve was vey irritated by this. There in front of him stood the children, the ones who were supposed to be in school. "Well, aren't you guys a few hours late to class." "Skipped" they announced in unison. Mike looked up at Steve, "Can you let us into the theatre." "You-well.. whatever" Steve sighed, he didn't have time to deal with this today. "Alright, but you better make up your schoolwork." Quietly he led them to the back, and opened a staff only door. "And remember, if anyone finds out about this "we're dead" they all chimed in. Robin began teasing Steve "aww isn't Stevie such a good mother Eds?" " Yeah, he loves his babies" "Shut up Munson you baby them around too." "Oh I'm sorry two very loving fathers", Robin grinned at them. "We are quite the pair aren't we Stevie?" What was that supposed to mean? Steve didn't have time to think about it. Nancy, Jhonathon, and Argyle walked into the store at that moment. None of them had any idea on where they were staying. The Byers got a really nice house in Cali, but for some reason Joyce was still thinking about moving back to this shithole again. As for Argyle it seems he pretty much lives in his van, so he's probaly staying here for a while. "Hey Steve." Nancy said this in a soft voice, right into his eyes. Was she flirting with him, in front of Byers?! No way. It didn't really matter to Steve if she was or not. He was still figuring out this Eddie situation, and had already moved on from her. How was this possible. Just a few days ago he was in love with her, and now when he looks at her he dosn't feel a thing. Funny how love can be like that. You think you love someone, and then someone else just pops around the corner. Steve felt different with Eddie though. He didn't want to just run away from his feelings this time. He wanted to experiment. He was ready. "Harrington, you good?" "Oh, yeah sorry-zoned out." Shit! He was doing it again. the more he tried the harder it was to stop staring at Eddie. It was humanly impossible......he was soo-no not again. This time Steve managed to catch himself before staring to long. Steve felt a hand tapping his shoulder, he turned around, and Argyle started talking. "Okay brochachos, we've got a plan." "It's not really a plan, it's just a cool idea" Jhonathon corrected him. "We want to meet up at someones house to have a movie night." Eddie imediately shot up, and looked at Steve, he knew just what Eddie was thinking. "Hangout at my place?" "Yeah, Steve lives in a manshion." "Shut up, it's not a manshion, but yeah if you guys want to come at around 8?" "It's a date." The way Nancy said it's a date made Steve uncomftorble, sounded like she had the wrong idea. Mabey he'd given her the wong idea. The entire time they were in the upsidedown he'd been flirting with her. Jhonathon led the two off to get a movie. "Hey nothing to scary" Steve shouted at them "Munson over here can't handle a scary movie." "Shut up!" Eddie playfully pushed him, immediatly making Steve flusterd. Just then the three rushed out to take care of some buisness. "See you at 8!"
