82. The Lieutenant Trouble

So it Goes

It was no surprise that Nya fell in love with a man of the seas she had always loved the water, loved the stories with pirates and mermaids, loved the thrill of traveling. Corlys held her closer, kissing her neck when HR came in with a piece of cake. Frosting on his nose, a smirk on his face. 

"Is it story time?" HR questioned hopefully. 

"That depends if you brought me cake too." Nya mused. HR pointed at the door and it remained empty, Corlys looked to HR confused. 

"I swear she was right behind me." HR offered then Rhaenys came with two large pieces of cake. "There she is." HR agreed as he got on the bed he sat at their feet as Nya grabbed a fork. 

"What story do you want today?" 

"Tortuga!" HR declared. 

"Your childrens stories are not for children." Corlys reminded her. 

"Those stories are basic," Nya corrected. 

"And mama's not basic." HR agreed and Nya laughed out as she reached out wiping the frosting from his nose. 

"Where did you come up with Captain jack and lieutenant Trouble?' Rhaenys pondered. 

"Haenry and Derek of course." Nya answered.

Looking for an exit in this world of fear, I can see the path that leads the way... I wish the wind would carry a change... Looking through the window to a world of dreams... I can see my future change, from what I once thought I wanted to what I actually want.

'Honey you won't get there if you don't believe' jack told her.

'get where?' trouble asked.

'wherever your heart demands.' He told her.

'I wish the compass would carry a change, for once. Whenever I hold it Jack it just spins uselessly!' trouble shouted. 'I've had enough. I'm standing up, I need, I need a change...'

'change trouble?'

'you always say that one day you will take me to Tortuga. I want that day to be today.'

'I don't know if you are ready. Tortuga is a place of love and lust and luck.' Jack said grinning.

'I've had enough of chasing luck. You told me it was a place for new beginnings. I want to see for myself. I want to see if everything you taught me... if I can do it. Please jack.'

'Fellas!' jack called. 'set a course for Tortuga!'

Jack was right, the place was burning. Literally and figuratively. This was a place people went to disappear and a place where people went to forget. To forget what they once knew, what they lost and live.

I'm setting fire to the life that I know. Trouble thought as they arrived. Trouble was no longer sad about her families betrayal she had a new family. Her family of the seas. 

'lets start some fires!' rudy said picking up a torch as the men broke out into a fight.

'Let's start a fire everywhere that we go!' Kili said as he punched a man in the face.

'We starting fires, trouble. You ready for this?' she looked around at the dark night life of Tortuga. Screams rang out and fights broke out, fires raged and gold was spilled. Women were naked, men were drunk, and the gold was flowing through their fingers.

'Til our lives are burning gold' jack said holding onto her so not to lose her.

'Til our lives are burning gold!' she repeated.

As they walked jack had a few run ins with previous lovers.

"Esmeralda!' he said happily, she slapped him. Trouble covered her mouth with her hand to hold back a gasp. 'I don't think I deserved that.' just then another woman came up, 'Juniper!" again she slapped him. He really didn't understand women. He loved them and they loved him for time but Trouble saw these women, their faces filled with rage but their eyes filled with regret and sorrow. 'Olivia!' she slapped him, twice. Trouble was laughing openly now. 'Oh shut up trouble... I might have deserved that.' he admitted.

'any more lovers you want to introduce to me?' she questioned looking around. 'perhaps you slept with her? and she would like to say hello with her fist?' trouble pointed to a bearded woman smoking a pipe, her hairy legs on display.

'come on, Tortuga is alive and the night is young. No need to focus on my previous mistakes.' He pulled her along. She admired everything.

Tortuga was magical in its own right. Sure there were fights and drunk men and women around every corner but there was life amongst the chaos. Her eyes went wide as she took everything in, jack noticed.

'beautiful aint it?'

'this place...' she didn't have words. Tortuga. She smiled widely, 'I like it here.' Just then a man came charging at her but she threw a punch right to his nose and he stumbled back.

'THAT'S MY GIRL!' jack yelled. 'lets get you something to drink!' jack said leading her into a tavern.

Everything was so loud and bright here.

Everyone was yelling, weather they were happy or mad, everyone yelled. Slapped asses. Kissed women. And drunk enough rum to fill kings landing.

"Derek, where did you and Haenry come up with captain Jack?" Nya questioned the next morning while breaking fast. 

"When we were over seas... in Tortuga of course." Derek answered with a wink. 

"Seriously?" Minho questioned. "They are real? Like really real?" Derek hummed into his tea. 

"Can we go to Tortuga!" HR declared. 

"You did it now D." Nya mused. 

"One day lads, when you are older." Derek mused. 

"And what about lieutenant Trouble?" HR questioned "Is she real too?" Derek locked eyes with Nya. 

"Thats our lieutenant Trouble, we added her to the stories." Derek remarked. "It wasnt as exciting, pirates life without a bad ass little girl, anit that right Nya?"
