My name is Audrey Summers and I'm seventeen years old. I'm just your average girl next door living a perfectly normal life. Well as normal as it can possibly get. Never once have I imagined my life to drastically change after crossing paths with the three Greek gods of our school. I could say that it was pretty.. Magical? Unreal? Mind-blowing? You're probably thinking that I'm exaggerating it a little but stick around you'll soon agree with me. So let's take it back to when it all started, shall we?

January 1, 2016.
(Audrey's POV)
Finally, it's my senior year. I've lived my whole high school life sitting in the shadows, never once have I drawn attention to myself. No dramas, no plastic barbies going after me, no rumours about me being the school's weirdo. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. I guess you can say that I'm a bit of an anti-social butterfly but that's okay. I prefer it that way.
Always under the radar and never the target of anyone.
"I don't know man it seems pretty risky if you ask me." A hushed voice says.
I look up from my book, looking around and see to my right, three boys probably around my age in a deep conversation. Ignoring them, I went back to reading my favourite book series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians. My other books spread out on the grass.
I always come here after school, it's kinda like my little get away. It's this hidden spot under the big old oak tree by the small wooden bridge at the local park. I've been coming here since I was a little girl, well whenever a nine year old could escape her parents' watchful eyes. It was my special place.
I found the spot by complete accident, I used to play with this other kid though I can't really remember his name. We were playing hide and seek, the boy that I was playing with thought it'd be an amazing idea to climb the tree and hide in it. During his climb the branch gave out underneath his foot causing him to fall. I remember hearing the branch break and finding him cradling his right arm, bawling his eyes out.
Since then, we always came back to this spot whenever we could until one day he just stopped coming. I never found out why though, him and his family just vanished in thin air.
"Seriously, I don't think we should."
"Why not?" another voice said.
"Yeah I agree, it's too risky."
"Look, I just want to get a closer look."
"Closer look my ass."
"Umm... Can you guys have your discussion somewhere else? I'm trying to read my book here." I say, irritation completely obvious in my voice.
I know that sounded rude BUT you do not interrupt a girl from her Percabeth moments.
(If you're a PJO fan ya'll know what I'm on about.)There goes the peaceful and relaxing afternoon I planned.
"Actually yes. I was wondering if you had a bandage for my knee because I just fell for you." the voice says, coming closer.
I internally cringe from the poor attempt of an ice breaker and look up, finally getting a better view of the idiots who rudely interrupted my alone time.
