....?

What was up with that pop-up?

Chara had been hunting again when she
found this glittering SAVE point.

...she had gotten a bit far from home, she
supposed. At some point, she had
descended the mountain, and now she
was in an entirely new forest. At least she could figure out how to get back by
asking for directions from the town she
just passed.

Anyway, that pop-up?

A sense of-

Before that thought could be finished, a chill came through the forest. The leaves
of the great big trees, previously
completely still, rustled.

Chara involuntarily shivered; the breeze
was colder than Snowdin, colder than
winter.

But it was spring.

Curious.

Curiosity filled Chara as she stepped
towards the source of the frigid air.

There was the sound of fighting.

She then frowned and stepped away.

Someone was fighting someone else,
using swords apparently based off of the
noise (she was in old-timey Japan, so she
guessed that wasn't too out of place...
she thinks). And honestly? Chara didn't
really care to get herself involved in other peoples' fights.

Not to mention, she didn't much care for
humanity. All she cared for were the people that she met and befriended.
Anyone else meant nothing to her.

And so she left, returning home with her
back to a fight that fate had written in ink and blood.

Kocho Kanae succumbed to her injuries
after battling Upper Moon Two that night, alone on the outskirts of a small village.
