Chapter 2

THIRD PERSON POV:

*family meeting*
"Why is this meeting, dad?" Neteyam asks. "We want to tell you guys something. But don't get mad at us yet." Neytiri says. "Go on!" Tuk, the youngest sibling says excited.
"So.. we want to leave this forest and escape to the sea island." Jake says staring at the floor. "What? No!" Lo'ak yells.

NETEYAMS POV:
"Lo'ak-" my dad tries to calm him. "This is our fucking home, dad! What about Spider? What about our Ilu's?!" He yells.

"Y'all can go, I don't fucking care. I'm staying here." He says. "Lo'ak!" My dad yells and grabs my arm. "You're going with us." He says on a calm but angry tone. "Yay! That's so cool!" Tuk says excited and giggles. "I love the sea, so I'm okay with it." Kiri says and smiles.
"What about you, ma Netey?" My dad asks. "Hmm, 𝘬𝘹𝘸𝘢𝘮 (maybe)." I don't care but I don't want to see my brother sad. "So, we're leaving tonight." My mom announces.

"You mean you guys are leaving tonight." Lo'ak says loud enough for my dad to hear. "Lo'ak, I am not warning you again." My dad says.
"Jake. Be nice to him." My mom looks at him angry. Lo'ak leaves the room angry.

I walk to Lo'ak his 𝘴𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘰 (room). "Baby bro, what's wrong?" I ask, sitting next to him on his 𝘴𝘦𝘺𝘯 (bed). "Why is he so mean to me?" Lo'ak asks.

"Oh Lo'ak." I feel really bad for my brother, he always gets ignored by my dad and my dad always yells at him. "Does my baby bro want a hug?" I ask. "You know I hate hugs but yours just feel..feel special, Netey." he says. "𝘯ì𝘭𝘶𝘯 (of course), I am special!" I joke and he chuckles.

"That's the smile I've missed so much." I say and hug him. "I see you, baby bro." "I see you, Netey."

"When we're going to the sea island, we're going to do a swim competition. I'm sure I'll win though." I say. "No, you're good at everything but I definitely am going to win." He says.

"Lo'ak are you here?" My dad walks in the 𝘴𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘰 (room). "I'll leave you two to talk." I say, lightly smacking Lo'ak on his head. "Skxwang!" He yells and I laugh.

LO'AKS POV:
"What did I do this time?" I roll my eyes. "Lo'ak, I.." my dad says. "You what?" I say. "I'm sorry for being so strict. We're leaving tonight." My dad says. What the fuck?

"𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘢'𝘢? (How late?)" "10 pm." He answers. "Dad. What about Spider?" I ask trying to avoid eye contact. "He's not one of us, boy." My dad says sighing.
"What about the Ilu's? They are ours." I ask. "We're taking 4 with us." He replies. "4? But there's 6 of us!" I say confused. "Tuk definitely won't ride her own Ilu." He says. "I get my own, right?" I say. "Neteyam rides, you're on the back." He says and leaves the room. "Of course I am." I roll my eyes.

NETEYAM'S POV
*10 PM*
"Let's go, everyone." My dad says. "Hop on, baby bro." I say and my brother gets on the back of the Ilu. "You should get some sleep, bro." I suggest to Lo'ak. "I won't sleep." He says grumpy. "We'll see about that." I say and we leave.

It's a very long ride but we finally are on half of the journey faster 5 hours. "Look at the beautiful sky, ma Lo'ak." I tell my brother but I don't hear a response, instead all I hear is the snoring of my brother and my parents talking. "Wake up Skxwang! You wouldn't sleep, huh?" I grab my brother's arm.

"Huh, I wasn't sleeping bro." He says. "Of course you weren't." I chuckle. Kiri flies next to us. "Hey brothers, what's up?" She says and we start talking.

*5 hours later*
"Finally! I can see some island." I tell dad. "We're there, 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘰 (everyone)"
"Be nice, act normal." My mom says.
As we land our Ilu's in the sand, we get surrounded by greenish-looking avatars.
All of them start hissing and yelling at us. "Calm down! We are not here to harm anything or anyone." My dad yells. The chief and his wife arrive. We quickly make the "I see you" sign. "Who are you?" The wife asks.

"My name is Jake Sully, Neytiri my wife, Neteyam my oldest son, Kiri my adopted daughter, Lo'ak my youngest son and Tuk my youngest daughter. We're here for 𝘵ì𝘩𝘢𝘸𝘯𝘶 (protection). Someone wants to kill my family. We already lost our beautiful forest home." My dad says.

"No! We don't want your war here." The wife yells and hisses. "My husband was Toruk Makto!" My mom says. "Toruk Makto? A very strong warrior." The chief says. "They're not even real!" The woman grabs my brother his hand. "Look! Demon blood!" She yells.

Everyone starts hissing and yelling. "No! Wait! Look at my hand. I was born like this." My dad shows his fingers. "How dare you embarrass my son like this?" My mom says to the lady. The lady grabs my mom her tail and my mom immediately hisses and backs off.
The woman starts hissing back at my mom and at this point they're having a hiss competition.

"I apologize for my wife, I-" "Jake, don't apologize for me." My mom says angrily. "She's very tired after such an exhausting journey-" "Dad. Don't apologize for mom." I interrupt him.

"It's okay, my name is Tonowari and my wife her name is Ronal." He smiles at me. "Neteyam." I smile back. "I also have a son and a daughter. Let me call them." He says and he calls two names.
A few seconds later two boys and one girl walk towards us. The girl talks to her dad and the two boys walk behind us. "Bro, he's checking you out!" Lo'ak whispers. "What? Ew!" I whisper back. "I swear to Eywa! He was staring at your ass." He whispers and smirks. I slowly turn around and catch him staring at me. "Is that supposed to be a tail? Hahaha!" The other boy says.

"This is my daughter Tsireya, this is my son Ao'nung and this is his friend Rotxo." Tonowari says. I nod at them and the girl is the only one nodding back and smiling at my brother. "Looks like someone has a little crush" I smirk at my brother and he rolls his eyes.

"You guys are staying here. We accept you as our new comers." Ronal announces and everyone thanks her. "Thank you so much." I smile and thank her. She smiles back.

"Ao'nung, Tsireya and Rotxo you are showing our new comers around." Tonowari says.

"Dad, I'm not going to show these losers aroun-" "It is decided." Tonowari says. Ao'nung rolls his eyes while Tsireya is smiling.

"Let's go and ride an Ikran!" Tsireya says excited. "This is going to be so funny." Ao'nung whispers to Rotxo as if I can't hear it. Tsireya and Ao'nung call the Ikran's. "Here, Lo'ak." Tsireya smiles and hands one of the Ikrans to my brother.

"Here, forest boy." Ao'nung passes me one and Rotxo passes one to Kiri and Tuk. "Let's ride with them the first round to explain them what to do." Tsireya says. "I don't want to be close to this monkey boy." Ao'nung says rolling his eyes. "Just sit behind him on the Ikran, Ao!" Tsireya says annoyed by her brother.

"Fine." He rolls his eyes. "Sit in front of me." He says. I take place on the Ikran and feel his body pressing next to mine. My tail wiggles in excitement. Why is my tail doing that?!

"Don't get too excited, forest boy." Ao'nung whispers in my ear. "Now, arch your back a little so you won't get back pain. He grabs my hips and pulls me closer to him. "U-uh okay I can do it myself." I say. "Let's go, forest boy." He says and we start. "Slow down a bit." He commands.
I feel something pressing against my back. It's kinda pointy. What is.. oh.
