He returned shortly after with some news. "We gotta go.", he said, as he bent down to untie me.

I tried to plead once more. "Please, just let me go. I promise I won't tell anyone. Just please."

He didn't answer. He finally finished the last knot on the rope, and stood me upright. He held me by the arms. I need a plan. I decided to be smart about it. Get to know him and exploit his weaknesses.

"Wait. You never told me your name."

"Well you never told me yours so I don't see how that's fair.", he said with a slight grin.

"I'm y/n. So what's yours?" I tried to sound as sweet as I could.

A confused look formed on his face, as if he was trying to figure something out.

"It's Eduardo Salamanca. But you can call me Lalo.", he finally said, giving me a wary look.

"What?", I asked, confused as to what was happening.

"You seem so familiar, but I know we've never met before."

"How can you be so sure?" I asked.

"Trust me, I'd never forget such a beautiful face like yours." He smirked as I let out a soft scoff.

He started to walk forward, hands still holding my arms down. "I get what you mean though. You seem familiar too." I replied, looking over to gauge his reaction.

He thought for a moment, before he scoffed with amusement painting his face, "Who knows? Maybe we're soulmates." He said teasingly, turning back to me, nudging my arm softly.

"Yeah, I wouldn't go that far," I replied sarcastically, "Pretty sure soulmates don't kidnap the other and hold them hostage." My voice laced with venom. I was annoyed that he was actually flirty with me right now when I was currently being held hostage.

He laughed, "Yeah, I guess that's true." still grinning, he peeked at me quickly. We were now at the door that led outside. He stopped to turn to me and said, "Ok we need to put a blindfold back on you."

He reached in his pocket and pulled the blindfold out. He lifted his hand and brushed a piece of hair out of my face. I lifted my arm up to grasp his hand while the blindfold hovered over my eyes. He froze.

"I'm scared.", I said, still holding on to his forearm.

He lowered his hands, revealing my worried and frightened eyes.

"You'll be ok. I'll be with you the whole time,"

I nodded and removed my hand, allowing him to put on the blindfold. He guided me out and to what must've been the van. The car door shut and he sat me down. The van drove for a little bit before he finally removed the blindfold.

I slumped down against the inside of the van. I was so exhausted from running and not sleeping at all.

He examined my expression for a moment. "You look really tired.", he pointed out.

"Well I'm not." I snapped defensively. My tone was sharp. I looked at him with an apologetic expression before murmuring a "Sorry." returning my gaze back to the wall in front of me. I had to focus on my plan. Gain his trust. That meant no more anger toward him.

"I was just gonna say there's a comfy spot here right next to me if you wanted to rest." he said, gesturing to the space next to him. I didn't want to sleep and miss anything important. But i took the hint anyways.

"I guess I am kinda tired.", I agreed. I slid over and laid my head against his arm. It was actually quite comforting. I could feel how strong and muscular his arms were. It was strange to receive such kindness and affection from someone who just kidnapped me. "Thanks." I added, before closing my eyes and falling asleep.
