Dammit! Why did her life have to become so complicated all of a sudden? She wanted a relationship with Light, but it was way too soon after such a bad break up, and if she did come back to him and said she felt something when they kissed he would be so confused.
Putting her phone to the side, she buried her head under the warm water of Keigo’s bath. And screamed. Again.
XXXX
After his patrol with Moe he told her about last week with Rumi.
She listened to the whole thing smiling and just chiming in when needed.
He wanted to see her again.
But what the hell should he say? How are you? That just felt forced! What’s up? That didn’t really feel like it would lead to a conversation! Maybe if he invited her somewhere? But where? A movie? Dinner? Dancing? Patrol?
Was patrol a date? It was basically work but it might be a good excuse for him to actually see Rumi again.
Coming out of his haze Moe suggested the same thing, invite her on patrol she was more than happy to take one for team in this instance sure she would be disappointed but clearly those two had something to work out first.

His phone buzzed then began to blast his ringtone Bon Voyage by One Ok Rock, pushing off sleep just enough to wake up, then slam back down on him. He twisted in his bed, the pale sunlight drifting in through the blinds and into his room, his clock said that it was seven, a full hour earlier than he would normally wake up, two hours earlier since he started doing those late-night patrols with Moe.
Who was calling him so early? It wasn’t his emergency tone, that one he would already be out of bed for. The only person that normally called him was his Keigo, and he normally waited until noon. Glaring at the number, he tried to fight off the warmth of his bed and the chill morning air that seemed to permeate his apartment; he only vaguely recognized the number, he really should mark it as a contact.
“Hello, Light Kogami speaking.” He tried and failed not to sound like he just woke up.
“Ahh, Light, did I wake you? Sorry.” Somehow the voice on the other end sounded twice as tired, but he recognized it instantly.
It was Rumi she finally gave up and called him.
Rumi!” He sat up, eyes wide and fully awake like he had just been called on in class. “I’m awake!”
“I know it's early but I really needed to talk to .” He could all but hear the nervousness through the phone. “I was wondering if you wanted to do something this weekend with me just hang out not a date.”
“Sure I was thinking about asking you something similar myself.” he blurted out.
“I have free tickets to Water park if you wanted to come with me.”
“Water Park .” he would get to see Rumi in a Swimsuit, no bad brain he mentally snapped at himself. “ Yea Sounds like fun.” He tried to sound normal and not as excited as his face is probably showing at least she can see him right now.
XXXX
“Well, Light? I am waiting for your answer.” “ What do you think?”
His brain must have short-circuited, that or he was starting to develop blackouts from one too many hits to the heads because one moment he was waiting for her to exit the dressing room trying to ignore the looks he was getting from the other - female - shoppers. Then before he knew what was happening his mouth was open and he was staring at Rumi's, uh, well her everything.
