-Hau's POV-

The whole thing couldn't have lasted more than five seconds. After, we just sat there, staring at each other awkwardly. (Y/N)'s eyes stretched wide and her breathing was way too fast and I could decide whether to cry or burst into nervous giggles.

"You kissed me." She whispered.

All I could do is nod.

Lillie interrupted with loud snickers, her phone angled in a way you knew she was taking pictures. I sighed, knowing there was no way to stop Lillie, and (Y/N) just backed away slowly.

She fumbled to grab her purse, "I think I'm going to leave."

"No, don't leave!" Lillie cried, grabbing (Y/N)'s arm before she could stand up and leave, "Please? We won't play the surprise game we were going to do. Seven minutes in heaven." (Y/N) nodded reluctantly, clearly glad we weren't doing that game, but then Lillie added, "But you and Hau do have to sleep next to each other!"

"No,"

In the end, (Y/N) left with a firm frown on her face. The rest of the night was a bit quieter than before. We promptly fell asleep, and in the morning, we went our separate ways. Worrying about how she was doing, I went to (Y/N)'s house.

I look up at the plain two-story home and knock on the door. Her mother greets me and tells me it's a pleasure to have me over, and that she'd tell (Y/N) that I was here. I sat in the living room and waited. After a minute, (Y/N) walks down the stairs and shyly invites me to her room.

-Your POV-

Although my mother assures me she won't bother us, I carefully close the door behind me after the two of us are inside my bedroom. Hau sits down in front of my plain low table in the center of my room. I sit by the door, wondering what in the world he wanted me for on a Sunday.

"So... the dance is tomorrow." Hau meets my eyes, and I look down at my lap with clasped hands. There was a boy in my room. And we were alone. All I can do is panic, it seems. Last night caused infinite butterflies to rampage my stomach.

"I'm not going to do anything."

I glance at Hau, calmly kneeling there. Deciding it was okay, I crept to the other side of the low wooden table, now opposite where Hau is sitting. He sighs.

"Did I offend you?" He asks earnestly.

"No," I exhale, a blush dusting my face, "I'm sorry."

"Don't apologize!" Hau waves his hands in front of him frantically.

"You must hate me now..." I quietly murmur, tears moistening the edges of my (e/c) eyes, and heat engulfing my cheeks.

"Of course not,"

I timidly raise my head and meet his gaze. Relief fills every single inch of my mind and body, and I smile, glad for the comforting words I'd been needing since I left Lillie's sleepover last night. "I'm so happy," The morning sunshine floods my face as I whisper with contentment.
