The next day came by quickly, the meeting with Miss Hyakushiki starting soon. I groaned in pain as I put my dress suit on, struggling to get my shirt buttoned with the amount of pain I was in. The door to my infirmary room opened, revealing Supervisor Gokuu in his work uniform. "Let me help." He quickly rushed over, buttoning up my shirt.I turned away, embarrassed at needing help and how close we were. Slowly, he helped me put my jacket on as well; now ready to go to Miss Hyakushiki. "T-Thank you." I stuttered as he wrapping his arms around me, helping me up from the medical bed.
"Are you sure you can walk?" He asked, concern written all over his face as he held me up. "I could get a wheelchair for you."
"I'll be okay." I hastily nodded, leaning onto him. "It might take me a little to get to her office though."
"I'm sure she'll understand." He had a sweet smile on his face, keeping me steady as I tried to walk.
I returned the smile, feeling the warmth radiate from him as we made our way towards Miss Hyakushiki's office.
.
Once we arrived and entered her office, we gave our report. Her face never wavered at the information before she gave us our punishment: three day house arrest. "(Y/n). Could you stay a moment." Miss Hyakushiki stated more than asked, waving the other two out.
"I'll wait for you outside." Supervisor Gokuu muttered towards me as he and Officer Hakkai left the room.
I stood in silence as Miss Hyakushiki stood from her desk and walking towards me. "I'm glad you're okay." She gently hugged me, wary of my injuries.
"Thank you... Momoko..." She had always told me to use her first name no matter how much I refused.
Now felt like an appropriate time to stop feeling like a subordinate and more like the friends we were. She gasped, a large smile on her face. "I'm trying really hard not to squeeze you." It was evident with how much she was shaking.
"I think I should go home and rest." I smiled back at her, stepping away from her strong hands.
"Oh, yes." She hastily nodded. "Supervisor Gokuu!" She shouted with her deeper voice as she called for him.
"Yes, Warden!" He exclaimed, rushing back into the room.
"Please escort (Y/n) back to her home." She instructed him, going back to sitting at her desk. "And make sure she rests during her house arrest."
"Of course!" He exclaimed, helping me to my apartment.
.
We finally made it back to our apartment complex, I struggled to walk up the stairs. "These stairs are horrible." I grumbled, not able to go further. "Why don't we have an elevator?"
"Here. Let me help." Supervisor Gokuu offered, picking me up and carrying me up the stairs.
"H-hey!" A strange yelp left me, face terribly red as I clung onto him.
"Don't worry. I won't drop you." A large, playful smile was on his face, going up the stairs with ease.
"That's not what I'm complaining about!" I shouted as we made it to our apartments.
Officer Hakkai seemed to be entering his apartment at the same time, staring at us with a strange expression on his face. "None of my business." He muttered, entering his apartment.
We were both burning red, standing out in the hallway at being 'caught'. "Please put me down." I pleaded, feeling like I would overheated if he kept holding me.
He silently nodded, placing me gently on my feet and continued to help me to my apartment. Isamu was already inside my apartment, watching over Duchess. "Are you okay? The stairs must have killed you." He worriedly asked, making my supervisor and I turn red again.
"I need to sleep." I muttered to myself, wobbling to my room; trying not to fall.
My legs gave out under me, whether from embarrassment or my injuries, I couldn't quite tell. "Careful!" Supervisor Gokuu exclaimed, quickly holding me up.
I uttered a gratitude, leaning against him as he helped me to my room. "Well, it looks like you already have a nurse, so I'll take Duchess so you can rest." Isamu winked at me before leaving my apartment.
'That bastard!' I cursed him out at what he was thinking. Supervisor Gokuu and I stood in my room, an awkward silence to us. "You should lay down and rest." He spoke up, breaking the silence.
"I shouldn't sleep in my uniform." My voice waved, feeling my whole face burn up again.
"Yes! Right! Sorry!" He shouted, beginning to leave my room.
"I need help... With my shirt..." I covered my face, not wanting to look at him.
He swallowed heavily, slowly coming towards me. "Are- are you sure?" His voice wavered, just as red as I was.
"I don't want to, but I need help." I grumbled, chest hurting due to the embarrassment.
He slowly nodded, hands raising shakily. Neither of us looked at each other in the eyes, too flustered to look at each other. My jacket was now placed on a nearby chair before he started on my dress shirt. His hands were even more shaky, his whole body flushed. "Oh, I forgot-" Isamu entered my bedroom again, surprising us. "Ah, nevermind. Don't be too rough."
"We aren't doing that, Isamu!!" I squealed, my chest felt as hot as my face.
The supervisor and I turned to each other, eyes meeting for a brief moment before quickly looking away again.
Finally, I was out of my suit and that embarrassing situation and into more leisure clothes. I laid on my bed as he sat on a chair pulled next to my bed. "S-Sorry..." Supervisor Gokuu mumbled, neither of us looking at each other.
"No, I'm sorry. If I could heal as fast as everyone else, we wouldn't have to go through something embarrassing like that." It was now my turn to apologize.
"It's not your fault." He now turned to me, still burning in the face. "Are you comfortable now?"
"It still hurts a lot, but I'm okay." He had given me pain medicine, taking it immediately.
"Let me know if you need anything." A nervous smile on his face.
I nodded, hoping I wouldn't have to make him do too much.
