Margaret Hale POV

Dad asked Allie to cut my hair. She did. I was with Dad, Isaac and Aemond. "What are they doing here?" Scott asked. "I need him to help watch Marge." Dad said. "I don't trust him." Scott stated. "Yeah, well, I don't trust you either." Aemond snapped. "You know what? Derek and Margaret really don't care.  Now where's the vet? Is he going to help us or not?" Dad asked.

"That depends. Your friend, Jackson. Are we playying to kill him or save him?" Deaton asked us.

"Kill him!"

"Save him!"

Dad and Scott said at the same time. "Save him!" Scott said. "Save him." He confirmed to Deaton.

I was standing beside Dad Isaac went to touch something and Aemond grabbed his hand. "Watch what you touch." He snapped. Deaton looked through his supplies.

"So, what are you? Some kind of witch?" Isaac asked. "I'm a veternarian." Deaton said.

I sniggered.

"Unfortunately, I don't see anything here that's going to be an effective defense against a paralytic toxin." Deaton said. "We're open to suggestions." Aemond said. "What about an effective offense?" Isaac asked.

"We already tried. I nearly took its head off. Argent emptied an entire clip into it. The thing just gets back up." Dad said. "Has it shown any weaknesses?" Deaton asked.

"Well, one. It can't swim." Dad said. "Does that go for Jackson as well?"

"No. He's the captain of the swim team." I said. "Essentially, you're trying to catch two people." He walked over to his shelf and grabbed something. "A puppet."

"And a puppeteer. One killed the husband but the other had to take care of the wife."

"I don't think Jackson could do it. His mother died pregnant, too, and she was maybe murdered. I think he couldn't let the same thing happen to someone else." I said. "How do you know it's not part of the rules?" Isaac asked me. "The Kanima kills murderers. If Jackson kills the wife, then the baby dies, too."

"Does that mean your father was a murderer?" Aemond asked. "Wouldn't surprise me if he was." Isaac said. "Hold on. The book says they're bonded, right?" Dad nodded.

"What if the fear of water isn't coming from Jackson but from the person controlling him. What if something that affects the Kanima..." He poured the black dust around the pendament. "Also affects it's master."

"Meaning what?"

"Meaning we can catch them!" I said. "Both of them!"

I was waiting for Aemond. I sighed. I heard the door close. I turned. "I'm sorry. I know you said we shouldn't talk like this anymore." I said. "What happened?" Aemond asked me softly.

"My Dad and I... we got in a bad arguement when we got home about the time he tried to kill me and I feel like he hates me more..." I said. Aemond sighed. He hugged me softly.

"Matt asked me to go to the rave with him." Aemond nodded. "Okay. Make it like a big deal." He said.

"You mean like Kiss him?" I asked. "Uh..." He hesitated. I smiled. I then kissed Aemond on the lips. He kissed me back.

"Yeah, don't do that." Aemond told me. I giggled. "I won't." I promised. He nodded and kissed my forehead.
