Fluff and Slight Angst for Don

First request by Bumblebee-504 At the beginning, I didn't really know how to write it. But along the way, it was fun to do this. I apologize if it isn't necessarily what you had in mind, but hopefully you will still enjoy reading it. Sorry also for the grammatical errors. But please do tell me your views about this story<33

The olive green haired girl whose voice was as delicate as how gentle her soul was music to the boy who sat across her, Don. He was unsure when or how he started to fall for this girl who was once just an annoying mom version of a classmate, but he sure knew that he did. She was kind and quite timid, or perhaps just really introverted, but her caring personality pushes her to show how concerned she is towards others.

With these emotions, he couldn't help himself but want to confess and give their friendship an upgrade. Emotions he tells to one of his group mates as Gilda exits the scene to grab some papers, (Y/n). "You like Gilda?" (Y/n) asked slightly irked up to hear a man falling for their beloved. "Isn't that obvious?" The messy black haired shot back. "I should tell her, don't you think? Give me and her a chance to be something great." He blabbered and (y/n) scoffed but it was unnoticed by the excited male.

"They say opposites attract right? I'm talkative, she's quite timid." He continued to chatter while (y/n) groaned miserably. "Although I am careless..." he implied, "it fits Gilda's cautious personality." He implied, "I should confess to her here, the library, somewhat romantic like in anime's. That's it!" He raised his voice a bit in excitement and was scolded by the librarian.

"Dummy." (y/n) commented and added, "I think the setting won't matter, what you need is luck." They shrugged and Don furrowed his brows, "Luck? You think she'll turn me down?" He questioned and before (y/n) could answer, Gilda returned with some papers, shutting the both of them up as their attention averted to the lovely lady in glasses.

"So, here are our requirements as a group. We should-" Gilda was explaining in a low and soothing voice when she was interrupted by the eager tall boy. "Before that, there's something I must tell you, Gilda." He said with courage, causing (y/n) to cringe as they grabbed a book to hide their expression in. "Oh? Okay..." Gilda replied, sitting beside (y/n). "Actually, (y/n) can you-"

"No." (Y/n) cut the brown eyed male and he could only sigh. "Fine, listen in as well." He grumbled a little at (y/n)'s odd demeanor. Nonetheless, he shrugged it off and took a deep breath. "I know this would sound cheesy and all..." he started and (y/n) internally puked. "I must tell you how I feel or else I won't be able to live with myself." He expressed and (y/n) gave a slightly approved look as they know the feeling of having to let Gilda know how much she means to them.

Don confessed for a good ten minutes of how much he liked her. Ten minutes of cringe, annoyance, embarrassment, and frustration for (y/n). Yes, they understand how much Gilda is attractive and lovable, heck, they too we're in love. But the very image of her being with Don, or anyone else for that matter aggravates them. Luckily, the book managed to keep their cool intact.

After hearing him out, Gilda first hummed in her thoughts. "That's sweet of you Don, but I'll have to turn you down." The bobbed cut female then sternly replied with a tightly sealed smile, making (y/n) smirk behind their book. "Eh? Why, can't you at least give me a chance?" the tanned skinned male pleaded as he leaned closer to Gilda, causing (y/n) to give an annoyed eye roll as they placed their book to the side.

"A chance to-" Don was interrupted by the silver gray eyed girl, "I won't because I'm not interested, besides I'm taken." She said with a tint of bashfulness at the end, knowing very well her lover was beside her. "Ta-taken? By who?" He stammered and (y/n) raised a brow as they wrapped an arm around Gilda's shoulder, pulling her closer to them.

"By me, you have a problem with that?" they taunted and the man gulped at the daggers (y/n)'s eyes sent towards him. "Yo-you and Gi-gilda?" he stuttered and they leaned their head on their lover, "Told you, you needed luck." they grinned mischievously. "But how come- '' again the poor boy was interrupted by the couple before him.

"We like it private." Gilda smiled and scooted over to her partner. "We're low-key lovers. So, don't even dare to dream of trying to steal her from me." (Y/n) threatened and smiled teasingly, "At least you know your answer now, right?" they added and Don held his tears. Though it was painful, he slightly anticipated it.

"I'll take my leave then. I'll help out with the project some other time." He stood and looked back. "Admit it, we look good together, don't we?" (Y/n) nagged and was slightly nudged by their lover. "Don't rub salt on the wound." Gilda mumbled, "Tsk, he kept blabbering how you guys would look good together, why can't I do the same?" (Y/n) whines slightly and Don chuckled to himself as the thought of what (y/n) said sunk in slowly.

He left the scene and could only mutter sadly to himself, "low-key lovers..."

"He'll be alright, right?" Gilda asked with concern and (y/n) nodded. Though (y/n) was irked up by Don, they understood every bit how one would fall for Gilda. They were indeed one of her victims to her irresistible charms, and so as a friend, they hoped he too would be alright. "He will." They kissed the olive headed girl's forehead.

A kiss as sweet as honeycomb for the two and as painful as the sting of a bee for him...
