My eyes flutter open, and I'm met with my head on Wilbur's chest as he runs his fingers through my hair.

"Morning Will." I mumble as I rub my eyes tiredly.

"Happy birthday love." He smiles as he wraps his arms around me.

"Thank you." I smile as I press myself into him, immediately relaxed by his presence.

Eventually we get up and get ready, and Wilbur comes into my room.

"You excited for the party?" He asks.

"Very." I smile.

"I'm excited to be your date." He smiles before leaning down and kissing my cheek, before going out into the living room leaving me with a very red face.

A few hours pass, and eventually tons of people start to show up, and the party starts.

Now, I was stood in the kitchen talking with Kristen.

"He kissed my cheek earlier too!" I smile.

"He likes you, there's no way he doesn't." She laughs.

"God I hope so." I laugh.

Suddenly, Will walks up next to me and puts an arm around my waist.

"Hi Will." I smile as I look up at him.

"Hi gorgeous." He smiles, sending a wave of red across my face as Kristen smirks. "We're gonna play truth or dare, wanna watch?"

I never liked playing truth or dare, and Wilbur knew that. But he also knew I loved watching it.

"Sure." I smile. "Kristen, wanna come?"

"Knowing Phil he'll definitely wanna play, so yeah i'll come watch." She laughs.

Wilbur takes my hand, and leads us to the living room.

Kristen, Ran, and I sit on the couch to watch while Wilbur, Bill, Tommy, Phil, and Jack sit in a circle on the ground.

They each do a few rounds as the three of us watch in amusement, when eventually Tommy gets to as Wilbur something.

"Wilbur." Tommy starts. "Truth or dare?"

"Dare." Wilbur says.

"I dare you to make eye contact with the most attractive person here." Tommy smirks.

"Do they have to be in this circle?" Wilbur asks.

"No, can be anyone." Tommy smiles.

Wilbur immediately looks at me and smiles, and I shake my head with a laugh to hide my reddening face.

"He has a crush on you!" Jack gasps jokingly.

"Maybe I do!" Wilbur laughs as Kristen and I make eye contact.

After a few more rounds, the boys stop playing the game.

I walk into the kitchen to get a few seconds of a break because of how many people are in the party, (the kitchen is empty of people), when Wilbur walks in.

"Hey birthday girl." He smiles as he hugs me.

"Hi Will." I grin as I hug him back.

"Todays been pretty busy, but here's your gift." He smiles.

"Thank you Will." I grin.

It's a little back with a handwritten note hanging out of it, so I read the note first.

Dear Evelyn,

Happy birthday love :D I love you more than anything. You're the most beautiful, perfect, kind hearted, caring person I know, and I'm so grateful that I get to know someone like you, let alone be best friends with you <3. I couldn't imagine a world without you, and I don't know what I would do without you Evy. I love you so much, and I hope you know how much you mean to me.

"Will." I smile.

"Open the box." He smiles.

I open the box in the bag, and it's a little necklace with the date 2/16/20 written on it, the date we met.

"I love it Will, thank you." I smile as I hug him.

"I love you so much Evelyn." He smiles.

"I love you too." I grin.

We pull away from the hug, and look at each other.

I take in all of his beauty. God, everything about this boy is perfect.

He puts a hand on my cheek, and I realize what's about to happen as my face warms up at his touch.

He leans down, and kisses me. and It was perfect.

It was the most amazing thing I had felt. It was all I had ever wanted.

One kiss turned into another. And another. And another.

I sit on the counter so he can reach me better, and he kisses me harder, sending more butterflies through my stomach.

Eventually, we pull away and just smile at each other.

"I've been waiting to do that for so long Evy." He smiles.

"Me too Will." I smile.

"Really?" He asks.

"You think I would've kissed you back that long for no reason?" I laugh.

"Fair point." He shrugs as we both giggle.

"We've been in here for a suspiciously long time." I laugh.

"We should go then." He giggles.

"You have to keep your hands off me though." I laugh as he frowns.

"But-" He starts.

"Will." I laugh. "We haven't even talked about it."

"Fine." He dramatically sighs.

"You're fine." I laugh.

"I know I am." He teases with a smirk.

"Not like that!" I laugh. "Well-"

"Shut up." He laughs with a reddening face.

We go back out into the main party, and have to act like nothing happened while we both knew we were slightly freaking out deep down.

I wanted to tell Kristen about what happened, but I knew it needed to stay between us for now.

Every time Wilbur and I made eye contact, we looked away while pushing down giant smiles.

It was the best birthday gift ever, kissing my best friend who I fell in love with.

3rd person POV

Wilbur had planned this for about two days prior. Because he 'knew', well, thought, that she didn't like him back.

He knew he was risking his relationship with his best friend, but he knew if they were meant to be best friends instead of a couple, it would bring them back to being best friends no matter what.

But she did, and that was evident. They were in love, and it was becoming more and more clear over time.

It was more evident that they would work out.

It was more evident that they could, and most likely will have a future together where their label is no longer friends, but something more.

It was evident that they truly, wholeheartedly loved each other.

It was evident that Wilbur Gold loved Evelyn Summers more than anything and anyone. He loved her more than he loved himself.

It was evident that Evelyn Summers loved Wilbur Gold more than anyone and everything. All she ever wanted was Wilbur.

And she got him, he would gladly be hers. They both wanted to spend the rest of their lives together more than anything.

And for once, she felt like she finally got something she wanted. And that was the thing she wanted most. Wilbur.
