LOLA EXPECTED TO WAKE UP IN THE UNDERWORLD, get judged, and ❪ hopefully ❫ reunite with the sisters and grandmother she missed so much.
instead, she comes to in some sort of black void. nothing but darkness surrounds her for miles. the only light comes from a faint pink glow that seems to be emitting from her. it makes the hair on her arms stand and a shiver goes down her spine.
"hello?" her voice echoes back to her. a pit grows in her stomach.
she looks around uneasily. "hello?... where am i?" a cool gust of wind brushes past her. she rubs her hands together, ready to breathe on them for warmth.
but she pauses. her hands are wet. why are my hands wet?
she looks down and sees herself dressed in her sister's large baseball jacket, green leggings with pink flowers, and twinkle toes. she can only just make out the red splotches on her.
